The Optoma HD700X is a projector that features HD Ready. Usable on movies, sports and gaming, the projector uses DLP DarkChip2 display technology. It carries the weight of 2.04kg with dimension at 259mm x 73mm x 188mm. The HD700X that is recommended for home cinema use has the native resolution of 720P (1280 x 720) with the brightness of 1300 Lumens. Image produced has the contrast ratio of 3000:1 and the aspect ratio of it is 16:9.The maximum size of the image sets at 7.36m whereas the minimum value of the same aspect is 1m. It has the projection distance at 1.2m to 12m. The analogue video formats that compatible with the projector include NTSC, NTSC 4.3, PAL, PAL-M and SECAM. Whereas, the digital television formats that have the compatibility with the projector are 1080i, 480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p. High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is set as its Digital Video Standard. The power consumption of the machine is 265W maximum, where less than 9W in standby mode. On its projector lamp, the bulb capacity is at 180 Watt. The projector that is available in black color fulfils the RoHS compliant standards.

It functions on the clarity and the quality of the image produced. Its HDMI is in version 1.3 which contributes to the quality of its display as well, besides the aspect of brightness that comes at 1300 Video Optimized Lumens. Besides that, it uses wireless connectivity technology. The HD700X by Optoma features a number of menu languages to be selected, ranging from English, German, French, Italian, Swedish, Greek, Hungarian, Czech, Arabic, Portuguese and several others. The lamp life has the standard mode of 3000 hours.

  • Playing Games

    Does anyone know how many hz the Optoma HD700x has. I think its 60 if this is the case does it make a difference when playing games (wii, PS3, Xbox, etc) as I thought they needed 100 hz minimum to get the best effect
