The Acer H5350 is a home theater projector with 720p native resolution, 2000 ANSI Lumens brightness, 2000:1 contrast ratio and Acer ColorBoost technology. The Acer H5350 also has an HDMI port that allows connectivity to the newest digital devices with HD signal support. The design is of a white surface with soft texture and rounded curves.

The Acer H5350 has a detachable control pad which serves as a remote control that includes an Empowering Key for faster access to Acer Empowering Technology tools. This includes the Acer eView Management that allows you to choose the optimal display mode (depending on content type), Acer eTimer Management which lets you set a time limit to presentations (timer and reminder are displayed onscreen and an alarm sounds when time is up) and Acer SmartFormat technology which ensures support for a variety of display standards and resolutions. It also incorporates Acer InstantPack technology so that you can safely unplug the power cord right after the projector is turned off. It also has advanced Acer ColorBoost technology that feature a 6-segment colour wheel, powerful image processor and advanced lamp illumination technology for maximum colour and brightness with reduced rainbow effect. Other than that, it has a SLP system design that delivers seamless, consistent images without colour decay as well as displays moving images with smooth precision for amazing realism. In terms of media, the Acer H5350 has an HDMI port that delivers uncompressed digital signals and multi-channel audio for HD viewing. The Acer H5350 has a lamp life of up to 4000 hours, with an ECO (economy) mode which extends lamp lifespan and reduces noise and power consumption. The digital zoom and pan function also allows you to magnify details with ease and move magnified images to a preferred location. The Acer H5350 also has built-in speakers to enhance presentations and video entertainment audibility. For safety purposes, it has a PIN security function which enables projector password control, protecting projector from theft and unauthorized use.

    These problems combine to make the H5350 the weakest performer in this group test. But provided you're not particularly sensitive to the rainbow effect, it's still good enough to be called a genuine bargain. Read more
