Review Summary

The Samsung ML-2010 is compatible to be used with Windows, Mac, and Linux. It is inexpensive, easy to set up and also print high quality text. Users even suggested that this device as it is compact, attractive and affordable monochrome laser printer and it is also suitable for a home office or small business. Some users like the heavy-duty clear plastic which acts as a cover that shield the paper from spilling and also help in keeping the dust out of the printer’s interior. There are also buttons that allow users to switch between automatic or manual feed mode according to their preference. Users can also increase efficiency by choosing toner-save mode for draft copies. Users like this device as it’s the fastest printer in its price range. All texts are printed at the 600dpi default setting, with crisp, sharp edges and is acceptable even at 2-point size and came out a little lighter than black. This package comes with a superb one-year parts-and-labour warranty where all users are happy about. As usual, when it comes to drawbacks, it is said to have small paper capacity and does not include a USB cable. Users also complain on the small 150-sheet-capacity main paper tray. Another feature that it includes is the 8MB of memory. Users recommend it only for occasional black-and-white document printing at your home or small shop. Most users said the graphics prints are mediocre, with horizontal banding occurring once in a while on photographs. When they reset the print driver from default to the best quality available, some of the banding disappeared and the gradients lost some of their paleness, but overall, the improvements are not satisfactory. As a conclusion, the Samsung ML-2010 has lots of improvement compared to its predecessor but remains a personal laser rather than a serious business printer.

The new Samsung ML-2010 monochrome laser printer packs professional quality printing into a stylish compact printer. Suitable for any small office; it gives you top-rated performance, easy-to-use f…

I purchased this printer around 3 months ago for £45 which I thought was great value for money. Laser printers have come down in price over the last few years and mono (black and white) laser printers are now of similar price to basic ink-jets. I wanted to buy a laser printer as I was fed up with inkjets drinking ink and the faff of having to change ink on such a regular basis. The samsung was in my budget and had all the benefits of a laser printer in a small box. Th... Read more
