Lexmark X4550 is an all-in-one inkjet printer. Among of its main features include built-in 802.11g wireless connectivity, speed prinint, 1-touch PC-free copying, scanner, PictBridge capability and 6-color printing.

Features

The X4550 is built with 802.11g wireless technology allowing user to print over a secure wireless network. It allows user to share the printer with multiple computers. It is easy to be set up as it comes with Lexmark installation software. Besides that, it delivers up to 26 ppm black and 18 ppm color printing. It provides up to 4800x1200 dpi print resolution for high quality prints. Moreover, it features PrecisionSense™ technology that detects type of paper being used in order to determine print resolution automatically. Furthermore, it features 1-touch PC-free copying in color and black. It also allows reduction and enlargement capacity from 25% to 400%. It also delivers 17 cpm black and 11 cpm color. It enables user to make up to 99 copies. The flatbed scanner is capable to scan on thick books and reports. With Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software, user can scan hard copy text documents into soft copy format. Furthermore, it is PictBridge enabled allowing user to print directly from compatible digital cameras, camcorders and USB flash drive. It allows user to choose from four photo effects print that include Sepia, Antique Gray, Antique Brown, and Black and White. A 1-year limited warranty is also provided by the manufacturer. It measures 280 x 536 x 398 mm in dimension and weighs 7.72 kg.

    As your only printer, the Lexmark Z2420 wireless would probably disappoint. If you want a cheap secondary model for occasional photo printing, however, this would be a reasonable choice, and its wireless feature gives it an advantage over other low-cost printers. Read more

    The bottom line: With so many other inexpensive photo inkjets on the market today, we can't recommend the Lexmark z2420--it's prone to paper jams, prints at a snail's pace, and produces unacceptable quality prints. Read more

    I don't print photos .... I very seldom print color.. I mostly print draft quality... I finally went wireless in our house and now have laptops in the living areas. Before I got the Lexmark Z2420, I would have to save files to my flash drive (or email them to myself) ,,, ... then head to the bedroom and the desktop w/Dell printer attached to print everything.
