Summary: I bought this printer because the all singing all dancing Cannon isn't compatible with Windows 8, as my requirements are less than they used to be this simpler printer is adequate. Siutable for a small office, you get what you payed for.
HP LaserJet Pro P1102: My HP Laser Printer is perfect for my needs
4 weeks ago
Summary: I've had this laser printer for some time now and thought it was about time I did a review on it. The reason for my purchase was because I was tired of having to constantly pesting my mum and dad every time I wanted to print something. So I wanted a little compact printer, nothing fancy, that would occupy as little room as possible in my already overcrowded house. Those requirements in mind, this is the perfect printer. Setting it up (installation) is really easy.
Ideal second printer - starter cartridge is useless
4 weeks ago
Summary: Bought this as a second printer for my wife to use whilst studying for an MA. Printer is easy to set up with a windows PC including wifi (it works out of the box with an iMAC but wireless set up not easy) Only complaint is that the starter cartridge supplied did not work other than to provide a few smudges - this was a problem as wifi set up requires you to print a test page if you are trying to set up a secure connection - it is not clear from the blurb that you do not...
Summary: Use it at home with my HP laptop running XP pro- easy to set up, works like a charm wirelessly from any where in the house - is just like my old HP laser printer but this one doesn't need to have a computer left on and attached or a print server. 85A cartridges will cost more per copy but I can accept the trade off for the convenience.
Summary: This is a black and white laser printer only but it fits me already! It prints in a fast speed and the quality is good. HP also provide the apps for printing from the mobile phone. So, if you use a smart phone, you could install the app and print it from your phone directly. Moreover, the installation is not complicated and the guidance is clear.
Summary: I'm semi-skilled when it comes to IT setup: I'm happy to setup and manage security on home router, backup and restore computers and add new wireless devices to the home network. So, although several previous reviewers had reported problems configuring this printer on PC and on Mac I decided to take the plunge, as it seemed to offer what I was looking for: good build quality, laser reliability and performance, and not forgetting low cost.
Summary: I am not technically minded but even I, with a little telephone help from my son, was able to get this up and running. I am very pleased with it, especially the speed at which it works. I would not hesitate to recommend it to any one else, particularly those who struggle with the new technology like myself.
Incredibly easy set-up; USB cable included, works with Windows 8.1: very affordable laser printing..

Summary: When faced with a need to simplify a user environment (from a networked/wireless to a local printing environment), the two main features I searched for was affordability and a direct USB connection. This printer hit both of those marks, and as it came out of the box offered multiple additional pleasant surprises from a printer that is this affordable.
