The Canon Pixma iP4500 offers excellent speed, sharp print quality, and useful features for a good price. If your colour output tends more toward photos and graphics than charts and memos, it could be a good alternative to an entry-level colour laser. Read more

If you don't need the extra facilities of an all-in-one printer, this is a very good single-function machine at an impressive price. Single-function in this context means no scanner, but you can still print on plain paper, glossy photo blanks and CDs and DVDs, so it remains a versatile proposition. Read more

The Canon is firstly good for printing photographs in a variety of formats - * Single pictures up to 10cm by 15cm * Custom designed album pages * Calendars * Thumbnails, which could be used as labels or stickers Resolution is good at 9600x2400 dpi. It takes just over 20 seconds to print a 10x15cm borderless photo in Standard Mode. You can print photos directly from your PictBridge-ready digital camera or... Read more

GREAT Stand Alone Printer
Reviewer: nateman99, pricegrabber.co.uk3 weeks ago- Overall 10

I purchased this printer to replace a Dell AIO 968 (which never printed photos well, even with a photo cartridge). My mother is not very technically inclined, but knows some basics. I was looking for a printer that she could use without a problem (3 simple buttons!!!) and would give great photo production (she loves to print lots of pictures of her grandkids). Photo output is just beautiful. Compared to the Dell (which isn't all that old!!!), this is is amazing. There... Read more

Printer icc Profiles
...6 but setting the Print Window to give control to the printer. Ideally, one would set Elements to manage colours but there are no icc profiles in the available list for either of his printers. Has anyone come across this problem (his latest printer is a Canon Pixma iP4500)? Is Vista so very different in handling colour profiles? Are we missing something about Elements 6? Dave
