Excerpt: "== IMPULSE PURCHASE == Those of you who have read my previous reviews will know I act completely on impulse buying, in my business I am currently packaging around 10-15 parcels a week and decided it would be much more professional to have some pretty address stickers rather than my usual scrawl. I headed online to Argos to see how much they were and was pleasantly surprised. I tootled off to Argos on my lunch break and managed to pick one up for ...
Summary: I bought one of these printers a few years ago, but I felt I had to write a review after witnessing how durable this printer really is. Ladies and Gentlemen this printer can apparently survive being thrown down a flight of stairs by a menopausal woman...twice. I could only look on in horror as my mum threw my beloved and (for me) expensive printer down the stairs and it burst open into four pieces.
Summary: Bought this dedicated printer as a replacement for a Canon MP630 which gave up the ghost after some three years faithful service. My choice of brand and model was heavily influenced by the fact that I had a sizeable stock of unused ink cartridges for the MP630 and certainly didn't want to waste them given the respective costs of printer and consumables. My selection of the iP3600 has not disappointed. It arrived on Maunday Thursday - just four days after my order.
Summary: My previous printer, a Canon Pixma MP 560, stopped working with a hardware fault after 26 months domestic use, probably because the waste ink tank is full. It is barely worth getting an inexpensive printer repaired. I selected the iP3600 as a replacement because it received a good write-up in Which?, and I have a large stock of suitable ink cartridges.
Summary: I purchased this printer as a backup to my regular Canon photo printer and although lacking the flexibility of that printer it has not disappointed with the quality of photo printing it returns. The photos are certainly of lab quality and are deivered in a very short space of time. The colour rendition is very accurate and the individual ink tanks deliver an amazing amount of prints before replacements are needed.
Summary: I obtained this printer as a replacement for an ip 4550 on which the on/off switch no longer functioned (a built in fault?). The new printer is much the same as my old 4550 so I knew what to expect, the only MAJOR disappointment is that the cartridges hold a much lower volume of ink therefore my running costs are going to be considerably higher.
