A good PSU for a good price

  • Excerpt: I was really impressed when I was looking for my power supply. I know Corsair are a good make and I had sort of settled on the TX850W for my new PC. However I was nervous, I know how I love to add hard drives and gadgets etc, plus knowing the capabilities of my motherboard I thought I better read up...

  • Summary: If considering this product, buy it. Worth the buy.
  • Pros: after 3 years still running strong. CORSAIR lives up to its name, and their products are strong.
  • Cons: Nothing - even runs quiet.

Still going strong

Jordan C., Newegg
8 October 2015
  • Pros: Never had an issue with it, 4 years and it's still perfect.
  • Cons: The cords on the inside are pretty stiff so it can be really difficult to manage the cables but it's fairly standard for non modular PSU.

Awesome

  • Summary: Although they are not modular these are great. It took me 4 years to realize that my old PSU was modular and this one is not. So I guess modularity isn't really that important as we think.
  • Pros: Still going strong. One has powered Tri Sli GTX 470's pulling 1,150 watts from the outlet. Measured with a kill-a-watt meter. The other is powering Sli'd GTX 770's. Pretty impressive for 5 years without fail. Both of the machines are on UPS as well.
  • Cons: Heavy. Too Powerful.

  • Pros: On its 2nd computer, running still great. no complaints. Cords are wrapped well and protected. Connectors are not cheap material
  • Cons: None at all! Just was pricy, but in end - defiantly worth it.

3.7 years and going strong

anthony s., Newegg
13 June 2014
  • Pros: I put this PSU in my system with a P67-UD4-B3 MB at the heart of the system with a OC'ed 2600k at 4.7+ ghz # 1.37volts with 8GB of Corsair Vengence DDR3 1600 2x4gb kit sporting 2 EVGA SC GTX560ti cards in SLI runnig at 1ghz core and 2400mhz memory with 1,075volts all mounted in a HAF922 Cooler Ma...
  • Cons: Not modular but I would not dare remove a egg since if you have a decent case like my HAF922 or something a little bigger there is plenty of space for a nice clean cable job. and the less connectors the less chance of loose connections. Example....for each video card you have a combination of 16 ...

  • Pros: It worked great, for three years.
  • Cons: It broke after 3 years of rather light use. JUNK.
