Excerpt: I was really impressed when I was looking for my power supply. I know Corsair are a good make and I had sort of settled on the TX850W for my new PC. However I was nervous, I know how I love to add hard drives and gadgets etc, plus knowing the capabilities of my motherboard I thought I better read up some more on it, and see if I should go for the 1000W version. I went to Corsairs website and they had a power calculator. This was extremely useful.
Summary: Wanted a Mid range wattage power supply so i decided to choose this PSU after much research and of course i went with modular as it saves a lot of space inside the chassis. A great PSU with no complaints, however in purchasing this and many like its kind, the Fan on the PSU does not come on until 50 degrees Celcius, so don't be worried if you notice the fan isn't on when you're running your computer.
Summary: I think if you ask yourself.... "is my power supply still alive? i never hear it turn on...." - its a good thing. I have this pushing my system just fine and she is ready for more. Cant wait to add another card. Currently Supplying Juice too i5-3750k M-4 64gb SSD Toshiba 1tb 7200rpm 16gb Corsair Mem XFX 7950 Asus DVD Drive AsRock Mobo Extreme 6 H60 Water Cooler 6 Case Fans
Summary: I thought it was going to be completely modular and it wasn't but I have to say that it's been great so far. I was able to connect my GTX 770 SC Graphics Card but I'm going to need to upgrade to a different power supply in order to add a secondary graphics card for SLI.
Summary: The Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 850 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Bronze (TX850M) is perfect for anyone upgrading their video card. It performs flawlessly with a super quite operation even under load. Would highly recommend this unit to anyone!
