Summary: I was really impressed when I was looking for my power supply. I know Corsair are a good make and I had sort of settled on the TX850W for my new PC. However I was nervous, I know how I love to add hard drives and gadgets etc, plus knowing the capabilities of my motherboard I thought I better read up some more on it, and see if I should go for the 1000W version. I went to Corsairs website and they had a power calculator. This was extremely useful.
Pros: Plenty of plugs, decent length cables, nicely braided
Summary: This thing is built like a Sherman tank and just about as heavy. You can see and feel the quality of construction. It has all the power I will need for years to come with 2 hard drives drives, a single video card (660 GTX), a sound card and the peripherals that I am using. It is always a wise decision to purchase a quality power supply as it makes a difference in the performance of your PC.
Summary: Runs my rig with plenty of power to spare! AMD FX-8350 OC'ed @ 4.5ghz Sapphire 7950 & 7970 crossfire - OC'ed Corsair H100i Asrock 970 Extreme3 8gbs of Team Xtreem Dark DDR3 1600mhz 1TB 7200rpm HDD 1 BD drive 5 LED case fans Antec DF35
Summary: I thought it was going to be completely modular and it wasn't but I have to say that it's been great so far. I was able to connect my GTX 770 SC Graphics Card but I'm going to need to upgrade to a different power supply in order to add a secondary graphics card for SLI.
Summary: My computer randomly black-out and lost power in game. It should be a good PSU. I think mine is defective. Will exchange and try again. but probably will not buy corsair psu again especially the TX line.
