Cons: The fan kicks on every now and then to cool the PSU, and its fairly quiet while running and starting up, but when it turns off it makes these light almost clicking sounds, which makes it the loudest thing in my PC. Just be aware of this before buying. K?
Summary: Corsair support has been good to me so far, i submitted an rma request a few days about this explaining what the issue is. They have already approved my replacement for me on this and I didn't even get the warranty. So they freaking rock to me. Thanks corsair.
Pros: Got this back in 2012, done exactly what is should have. Great Psu, still running in my system now.
Cons: either the fan or the psu itself is now starting to made a low buzzing sound, almost like what an hdd would make but from the psu. It comes and goes, but is starting to be more consistent now.
Summary: Purchase in 11/2010. Failure in 01/2016. In pristine condition, dust free. One week before failure HTPC started shutting down randomly. It did so a few times until I could not restart it again.
Pros: Worked well for 5 years and 2 months without stability issues.
Summary: I'll check back in when it dies unless i do first...in which case I've kept the felt bag and left instructions to be buried with it.
Pros: I bought this 6 years ago for an old core2 duo build and later put this in my i5 2500k build, Its been running games and idle nearly 24/7 through multiple power outages and surges. Ive probably only been using half its potential but It's time to blow out the cobwebs in it - gonna try some serious...
Summary: - Really crazy this thing is still kicking after so long. Feels like I can get a few more years out of it even now. Very impressed by this PSU and will probably only buy Corsair after having this.
Pros: - It will never die (jk). 7 years and this thing still runs perfect. - Very cool for a power supply. - Was overkill for my first rig, but I put the extra wattage to good use. Including my normal components I have 14 fans in my case. This thing supports them all. - Got it for a good price back then.
Cons: - Not modular, but not many were during its time.
Cons: went through two of these same power supplies and they both crapped out on me. fans would start jittering, making random noises it would randomly power off with out warning now the fan doesn't spin at all and the computer doesn't stay on for more than 2 mins. i dont do alot of stuff on my PC or d...
Summary: I bought this PSU for my 2008 computer build (first build I did). The 750w was overkill for that build, but I wanted something that I could upgrade parts and not need to change out. It's been 7 years and it's still going strong.
Pros: - 7 years and still going strong (installed in 2008) - 750 watts - On/Off Switch
Cons: - Not modular, but wasn't going to big cable management anyways. - Nothing else
