Summary: This was my first UPS. I recently moved home and the power supply to my new address is less than reliable. Turn on anything powerful and the lights dim, plus three occasions when the power cut unexpectedly in the last four months. I was unsure how long the BR900GI would power my computer (21.5 inch iMac); turns out it can keep it going for an hour after the power is cut. Obviously this would be less if I were to plug in other accessories like the external hard drives.
Summary: I was researching into a UPS to support my Synology DS413J, although this specific model was not listed on the compatability list on Synology website, another user had stated that it worked with their disk station (not the same model as I have). I decided to give it a go and I am very pleased with the UPS.
Summary: I am very pleased with this item, I did some research before purchasing. Opening the box I was surprised how heavy it was, there are two batteries to power the unit on a mains failure. It is very well made and for me it gives me what I need to power my equipment for a good time in case of mains power faliure. I highly recommend this unit.
Summary: Received it extremely quickly and worked straight out of the box, amazing quality and was very easy to set up on our linux server thanks to the apcupsd rpm. Great quality would recommend for Windows/Mac/Linux users.
Summary: Using this with my Synology DS 213+ unit - works fine (even though its not stated as a compatible unit). When the power fails it signals my Synology which I have set to close down after 15 mins. Automatic self tests are performed once a week with indicators to show if there are any problems. Nice graphic display with various information settings.
Summary: My previous, second-hand APC server unit became uneconomic to repair so I looked around for something else. I know APC to be a reputable brand, especially for higher end products, so was happy to try a consumer level product. I noted from some of the reviews the potential incompatibility with modern power units so chose a unit with an output much higher than I currently need. I've had no problems to date.
Summary: Does what it says only improvement would be for an IEC to BS1363 adaptor as few domestic pieces of equipment have IEC connectors. Unfortuntaely thE APC unit that does have BS1363 (standard British plugs) was a bit short on capacity for my requirements. However dont make the mistake I did and buy an IEC connector from Sosupplies, they are rubbish and dangerous. Look up the IEC rewirable connector on the RS components and order that, made by Bulgin a good quality make.
