Excerpt: Last month we reviewed Antec’s new 80 Plus Gold Certified ‘ High Current Pro 850W ‘ power supply, and we were impressed. Today we are looking at the 900W model in their ‘High Current Gamer’ range. As this series is 80 Plus Bronze Certified, it is a little more affordable, with the 900w unit retailing for only £100 inc vat.
Summary: The Antec HCG-900 is the
power supply we have seen from Antec and like most of their recent offerings we have reviewed this unit has come courtesy of Delta. To date, all of the Delta OEM products that Antec has rebranded, and we have reviewed, have been very good performers. As such, we have high expectations for the new

Summary: Antec is one of the best known brand names in computer hardware enthusiast circles. Many HardOCP editor's personally use its products and Antec is a "go-to" brand that remains on our suggested hardware list. Can even a quality company like Antec miss the mark? It does this time.
Antec is a well known name among PC enthusiasts and their line of PC power supplies, enclosures, and PC accessories is one of the most complete in the industry. Today they are introducing their new High Current Gamer line of PSUs following closely on last months debut of the High Current Pro series.
Excerpt: Today I'm looking at the 3rd generation Antec TruePower power supply; The Trio. It's ATX12V, and it's more efficient than the previous models. But does it hold up like the old Channelwell built units? We'll find out today!
Summary: Though the rush to add performance by using more electricity is largely over (and in many ways reversed) for CPUs, video cards continue to suck down more and more power. It's not just the delivery of enough juice that counts -- it must also be a continuous, steady, and predictable flow.
Conclusion: The TruePower Trio is an excellent power supply, but I think it'll be overkill for most people. Antec makes other PSUs that can do the job just as well at a lower cost. Still, if you're one of those people who goes high-end on everything in your PC, there's no doubt that this power supply needs to be in it. For multi-CPU systems that need a lot of power, the TruePower Trio 550 or 650 may be your best option.
