Other than that, it also has In Plane Switching (IPS) which overcomes the viewing angle disadvantages by providing a 170-degree viewing angle, either horizontally or vertically.

The Toshiba SD- P2800 has a 9 inch widescreen IPS LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It can play media from DVD- Video, DVD-R, CD, CD-R, CD-RW and VCD. It has internal speakers that have 3-D virtual surround sound, with an audio D/A of 24-bit/ 192 kHz. It runs on Lithium Ion batteries that have Rapid Recharge which gives it up to 4 hours of playback. For added convenience, it has 2 headphone output jacks and a audio/ video in and out to enable you to connect the portable DVD player to an external monitor or a video game console via a mini RCA adapter. The package also includes a car cord adapter that allows you to take your player on the road and use the car’s cigarette lighter to power endless hours of movies and music. It also has a 4-in-1 card slot that supports SD, MS, XD Picture Card and MMC cards. Other than video and audio playback, the Toshiba SD- P2800 can also be used as a JPEG viewer. Other featuers include The Toshiba SD- P2800 also comes with a remote control.

This flaw aside, the SD-P2800's is a great piece of kit. The fact that you can expect at least four hours of use from a single battery charge, the picture quality and the design of the player are all huge points in its favour. It's one of the best portables around. Read more

Portable DVD player

As a DVD player the SD-P2800 is very good and second to none. Toshiba has included everything in the box that you would be expected to want. Battery, charger, cables to connect it to a television, headphone to listen to it, a remote to control it and even a bag to put it all in when your done. The downsides, there aren't many, however don't expect to get much help from the image viewer. It might be okay if you are really in a pickle, but otherwise its an extra function... Read more
