LG DP271 is a compact portable DVD player with 7-inch wide TFT LCD screen. Its screen that can be swiveled 180 degrees aims for flexible viewing angle. Images are displayed in 16:9 format whereas the resolution is at 480 x 234 pixels. On its video processing aspect, it has the video DAC of 4 DAC 12-bit. It has the audio DAC of Internal DAC in MT1389P. The player supports Dolby Digital as well as DTS soundtracks. Besides that, the DP271 by LG possesses digital coaxial output, an output that enables surround system to be connected to the machine. It comes with two headphone output as well. It might lack the glitz and glamour of an iPod Touch or an Archos hard-disk player, but as portable DVD decks go the DP271 is a great example. Yes, there are problems with its picture quality, resulting mainly from the QVGA screen, but apart from that picture quality, colour and noise suppression is generally solid.
