Yakuza 4

An action-adventure video game, Yakuza 4 is the new upcoming game that is published and developed by Sega wholly for the PlayStation 3 console. This game is a sequel to its previous game, Yakuza 3 and is set to be released in March 2011 in Japan, North America and Europe as well. Yakuza 4 takes place in Kamuro City, a recreation of Shinjuku’s red-light district. There will be three new locations in the game such as a rooftop area, the back streets of Kamurocho and the Kamuro Underground.

Features

In this action game, Yakuza 4 features each main character having his own “side-game” or goal that needed to be completed to earn 100 percent completion. Each character has their own mission such as Akiyama’s mission to create a Friendship mode with certain NPC characters by buying items for them and others. Akiyama’s other mission is that he has to “Create a No.1 Hostess” to scout girls for the cabaret club he owns, Elise. By dressing and training these girls, Akiyama need to make these girls the No.1 girl at the club. Other than that, Saejima’s mission is to “Create a Fighter” to train fighters to compete and win tournaments within the 50 rounds of training which involves building up training move-sets along with different actions. Meanwhile, Tanimura’s mission is “Resolving Police Radio Disputes” to try to keep peace on streets of Kamuro City. Occasionally, reports will come through Tanimura’s radio telling him where the incidents are happening. Then, he must defeat the person behind the incident. Lastly, there’s Kiryu’s mission, which is “Team Encounter Battle” where several gangs from around town will battle Kiryu. Kiryu would have to fight off the gangs in order to get their leader. One of the features in this game is the Battle mode, where each character will fight against each other with their special moves and weapons.
