Parents need to know that while Transformers: War for Cybertron is violent, it is a sci-fi brawler between robots. In this war between machines, you can shoot at or whack enemies and watch as they explode, but there is no blood or gore. However, there is plenty of weapons -- including huge machine guns -- and frenetic battle scenes. The game allows players to be a "bad guy" (Decepticons) for half of the single-player game and in many multiplayer modes. Plus, Xbox 360 and... Read more

I'm a huge Transformers fan, so take that into account, but I really enjoyed War for Cybertron. It's the first game I've played that nails the personality of the bots and it genuinely delivers a solid gaming experience alongside the nostalgia. When played alone the lack of ammo and punishing enemies can cause frustration, but get together with some friends, or go online and play as teams, and you'll want that Optimus Prime bed again - only this time hopefully your mum... When it comes to the crunch, the wait for an outstanding Transformers game continues onward ever onwards. While War for Cybertron certainly has its moments, the end product is nothing short of being another disappointment. Still, at least there’s no Shia Leboeuf. Read more

It took a long time but finally we have a game that doesn't make the Transformers universe look ridiculous. With a beautiful singleplayer and addictive multiplayer this game will keep console owners busy for quite some time! Read more

The title says it all, but I'll explain; the game is fantastic; first of all, the gameplay is good, but, unlike most 3rd person shooters, it lacks a cover mechanism. However, it has three great game modes; first is the campaign; its nice and long, offering 12 hours of gameplay. Then there's the Nazi-zombie esque Escalation mode, which is basically, as I stated, Nazi zombies, but with Transformers. Finally is the fantastic Call of Duty esque multiplayer. Its much like... Quality Transformers game. The best one so far with good graphics, decent online multiplayer and the best story ever. You even find out why Starscream becomes a bad guy!! The campaign is 10 missions long and the dialogue of Megatron alone makes it a real treat and proper funny. Boss fight are good, and missions are varied. Only real moan from me is the Transformers themselves when vehicles don't look like anything you remeber or expect, which is a bit of a shame. Well... Read more

Firstly I have to say I was unsure about this game due to the last Transformer game tie ins. No one wants to pay out full price for a game which become a complete flop, which fortunate enough this isn't. The single player is enough to keep you going as it tries to draw you in. You have the Autobot side and the Decepticon side which you have the choice of three characters to choose from. This being different depending what art of the game your in. The graphics are...
