The game is set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, begins with the player controlling Darth Vader and searching Kashyyyk for a surviving Jedi. Vader then discovers the Jedi’s Force-srong child, whom he raises as his secret apprentice. Upon childhood, Vader ask Starkiller (name of the apprentice, which is the player) to hunt down the remaining Jedi for his ultimate goal to assassinate the Emperor. However, the Emperor’s spies discover Starkiller’s existence and the Emperor forces Vader to kill the apprentice; Vader hurls Starkiller into space, but secretly dispatches droids to retrieve and revive him. Vader gives his apprentice a new mission: to make contact with those who resist the Emperor’s rule and foster a rebellion among them to distract the Emperor so Vader can make his move. Starkiller rescues love interest and Rogue Shadow pilot Juno Eclipse, Jedi Master Rahm Kota, Princess Leia Organa and Senator Bail Organa. In the process, Starkiller learns from Kota about the Jedi way and ultimately spares the life of Jedi apprentice Maris Brood, despite her fall to the dark side. Starkiller travels between missions aboard the Rogue Shadow, whose crew develops a kinship despite their agenda.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is an exciting and full of adventure PS 3 game. The game is about war which you have to fight, shoot and save people. The game is supported by the Lucas Arts’ proprietary "Ronin" engine. It also assimilates the third-party technology for example Havok for rigid body physics, Pixelux Entertainment’s "Digital Molecular Matter" for dynamically destructible objects, and Natural Motion’s Euphoria for character animation and artificial intelligence. It contains a video game, a tie-in novel, action figures, a comic book, a reference book and a role-playing game supplement. You played a character named Wookiee who is the superhero and have other characters such as Darth Maul, a bounty hunter, a smuggler, or "the last Skywalker". The face- and motion-capture equipment is used during stage actors’ voice and physical performances of their lines, and the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra recorded a two-hour soundtrack. The PS 3 version features the fashionable "Historic Mode" which allowed players to redo battles and events from the Star Wars films. Viewers find the game exciting especially fans of the Star Wars movies who find it quite entertaining. Some players commented that the game is adventurous and fun. While others said that the game is simply dull and boring.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is an essential play for any fan of George Lucas’ creation. Unfortunately, the gameplay feels a tad repetitive, un-ambitious and never quite lives up to the superb storytelling. As Yoda might say, - “Lazy level design is the path to the dark side. Lazy level design leads to irritation. Irritation leads to apathy. Apathy leads to mediocre review score.” Read more

At the end of the day, it's a great game that's been marred by only allowing the current monkey-like QA staff to play the game rather than a bunch of sane “I've never played a game before” types to have a go and realise that they were getting their butt crevice handed to them and tone stuff up a little. Give it a go, but remain calm; keep your focus – “tow'tal concentration”. [I have no idea what he's on about either, folks. Time for his afternoon nap perhaps... Read more
As excellent as the premise is, the Hoth Mission Pack is a tepid return to a very good game, isolating all of the original's frustrations and disappointments without delivering the thrills and tingles. Given its high price, it's a poor value for even the most devout Lucas loyalists. Read more
Star Wars The Force Unleashed is an excellent game, with more than I expected from a Star Wars game. It's worth playing over a few times. The only complaint is it's too short. I have both the Wii and the 360 version, and I definitely recommend the 360 version for refined graphics, story-line and physics. Read more
