A tale of swords and souls…and pneumatic breasts For many, Soul Calibur II really encapsulated everything that was great about the excessively theatrical hack 'em up. It struck exactly the right balance, with a combat system as intricate or as basic as you wanted it to be whilst simultaneously packing in a raft of memorable characters. Building on the success of the first game that proved instrumental in shifting millions of Sega's ill-fated Dreamcast, the Soul Calibur... Read more
Soulcalibur, the best weapon based combat series to ever grace the beat’em up genre is back once again with this fourth iteration of the series. Ever since the first Soulcalibur graced SEGA’s Dreamcast back in 1999 the game has always been a firm favourite with fans. But is this fourth episode in the series just another fighter or have Namco managed to create yet another game in the Soulcalibur universe not to be missed? Read on to find out… Read more
Still, with that all aside, it's well worth getting your hands on a copy to have a good blat with a mate and a few kegs - particularly on the PS3, for now you'll actually have a decent beat-'em-up worth getting good at! Now that the HD generation is in full swing, some may be surprised at the dearth of fighting games. Well, we did get Virtua Fighter 5 last year and the next Mortal Kombat and Tekken 6 are on the way, but at least we've now got Soul Calibur IV , the latest in the much vaunted fighting series featuring intense weapon-based comabt. The series is looking to bounce back after the muted reception of Soul Calibur III , particuarly in comparison to its predecessors. The Soul... Read more
In conclusion, FIFA 2010 World Cup is worthy of purchase if you haven't got a copy of FIFA 10 or you simply want to play a few brand new modes. There are no club teams whatsoever so if you want to play a game with International and Club teams, then FIFA 10 is your best bet. However, the overall improvements makes this slightly better than its predecessor. It definitely captures the world cup beautifully and it has certainly motivated us for the forthcoming tournament!... Read more
I read all the previous reviews on this game and was really looking forward to playing. However, after booting up and playing a few quick games was disappointed to discover it a standard beat-em-up. I'm sure if you are into this genre of game then you'll love it but I expected more. (I awarded one extra star just for having Darth Vader in the game - that was pretty cool!) Read more
SC4, This is the best 3d fighting game than is out there. This is better that Tekken 6. This game allows the player to create there own character. This has mass replay value and do not lag online. I wish Tekken 6 was like this. Read more

Simply put, Soul Calibur IV is a fantastic fighting game. If you were ever a fan of the previous entries in the series (or fighting games in general), then this game does not disappoint. The controls are tight, the graphics are excellent, and even the online multiplayer seemed to work quite well, which is no easy task considering the fast-paced nature of a fighting game. Character customization is a deep and well-implemented feature. Overall, I highly recommend Soul... Read more
