Pros & Cons

  • loads of content, good variation, great storyline, solid co, but this was good
  • cannot walk while shooting, even in chapter 1, annoying audio, in poorly executed, fiddly menus

From the ashes of old conflicts, a new terror arises. The Umbrella Corporation and its crop of lethal viruses have been destroyed and contained. But a new, more dangerous threat has emerged. Years after surviving the events in Raccoon City, Chris Redfield has been fighting the scourge of bio-organic weapons all over the world. Now a member of the Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSSA), Chris is sent to Africa to investigate a biological agent that is transf…

The theme of the game is that something has happened in the desert and Chris is sent by BSAA for an investigation and the thrilling journey begins. There Chris encounters a new enemy, and a new girl is also present in the game. The game features the same gameplay model introduced in Resident Evil 4, but with new themes. The game is a continuity of the events in Resident Evil 4. Reviewers comment about a new impact of Resident Evil 5 which is the importance of light in the game. In this Resident Evil 5 light will play an important role. For example, when Chris enters a door less building, with the surroundings bright and clear and the interior is dark. Chris takes some moments to get used to this darkness before he can see or discover anything. Reviewers find that Resident Evil 5 intelligently relate to this situation, along with the opposite effect of going into a bright area after being in the dark for a long time. This is what makes Resident Evil 5 fearful and thrilling, as you will play this game from the inability to aim or see.

RE5 Zombie games Pros Stunning visuals and presentation. Sophisticated co-op gameplay. Engaging boss fights. Cons Monotonous action. Clunky control systems. Plot fails to deliver. Capcom's seminal horror series makes its hugely anticipated next-generation debut with the release of Resident Evil 5 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation3.  Most famously known for Onimusha and Lost Planet, Jun Takeuchi assumes the daunting task of taking the helm on the first Resident Evil not to... Rumours are circulating that the next instalment will see yet another major overhaul of the game's style and dynamics. Some may welcome such a change, others might simply hope for more of the same. One thing is for sure however, it will take a lot of courage to radically alter a formula that has resulted in the type of sales figures that RE5 is currently achieving. 8/10 Mike Rathmell. From its humble beginnings all those years ago in the Arklay mountains, through Raccoon City and Spain, and now Africa, Resident Evil is a franchise brought into the new generation with a literal bang.  The series has gone through a lot of changes in story, from starting with the T-Virus, and the inclusion of the G and T-Veronica virus in-between, Resident Evil 4 gave us Las Plagas and now Resident Evil 5 presents us with a different strain of this. It's going to be incredibly difficult to make it through this review without mentioning Resident Evil 4 . It would be incredibly idealistic to discuss the pros and cons of Resident Evil 5 without discussing the very successful prequel, that has been heralded by gaming critics and the general public alike as being one of the best games of the last generation - if not of all time. It turned the horror genre on its head in many ways, and more importantly, revolutionized a... Read more
