List All 11 PricesPro Evolution Soccer 2009 is a good game, but it's one that has significantly failed to evolve over the last few years. The new modes add some potential interest for owners of last year’s game, but the Champions League is just flashy dressing for a competition that still doesn't feature all of the official teams, and the Become a Legend mode is neither as feature-packed nor as fun to play as FIFA 09's equivalent. If you love Pro Evolution Soccer's gameplay and simple... Read more
And so it seems that the main strength of Konami’s title will once again lie where it always has – in the gameplay. With development cycles so tight, it might have been a little naïve to expect a game like Pro Evo, which has been refined over so many years, to be pitch perfect straight away on completely new hardware. The extra time that it has now been possible to invest is perhaps the key component in a series that so often in the past operated within only a few... Read more

Like any great sports rivalry, Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer and EA’s FIFA series have been duking it out ever since PES stepped onto the pitch in 2001—and even longer if you include Konami’s earlier Winning Eleven titles. In one corner you have FIFA , the squeaky-clean champ with the golden smile. In the other corner stands PES , the rough-and-tumble upstart from the other side of town . Each year, these two series go toe-to-toe, and soccer fans wait to see... Read more
It seems to happen ever year now, the first impressions of PES tend to be bad ones, and it's only through repeated play that you get to appreciate its finer points. However, for a game that used to be so consistent, it would be nice to have a year where you can just unwrap the game, get on the pitch, and get playing, without having to worry about what's been fixed and what's still broken. Unless this does happen soon, and with FIFA getting stronger and ever popular, PES... Read more
I've found the gameplay to be much the same as the 2008 version but a bit slower, to me making it a bit less realistic. Where as on Fifa you can select a speed that suits your gameplay requirements. The graphics on the game are stunning and players look very realistic but its frustratingly only got a small selection of stadiums, but this year includes wembley. I think the champions league inclusion is excellent, and a good addition to the game. Liverpool and Manchester... Read more
PES 2009 is leaving FIFA in the shadows because of its superior on-line gameplay and overall factors, such as graphics and commentary. Where this game goes from here stirs the imagination, and gan only become better with the introduction of official teams, managers and referees. Thank you KONAMI!!!!!!!!!! Read more
This game is true to it's name. It keeps evolving for the better every year. Great controls/ game pace. Most of these critic/user reviews are worthless. They don't get the small details in the game play, that make this game great. Fifa has gone from having awful game play, to improved game play, and they get raving reviews? Real pro evo fans know this is the best video football game to date. Read more

PES 2009 is the second instalment in the PS3 after the successful 2008 title, and I can safely say early on that this game is a big improvement in the already highly rated Pro Evolution Soccer series. PES 2009 has the addition of the revolutionary 'Become a Legend' mode which adds a whole new dimension to the game, much better presentation in terms of menu design and graphics, as well as retaining, if not slightly improving the classic PES fluid gameplay which sets apart...
