Review Summary
The game NBA 2K8 is not the kind that keeps degrading as far as the developers are concerned. It’s way much better and a little bit higher upgrade from its last version. New content and upgraded gameplay are both among the few featured. There’s a new addition to the mode which is the dunk contest where up to four players are able to choose from current stars and legends. Some features that few players didn’t like with this game including the fact there are apparently too many missed layups in it and that the instructions are so bad that it is hard for players to learn new moves. A few others found that its menus are still something to navigate through, not the easiest thing to do. Many reviewers commented on how the new signature style moves look amazing and that the slam dunk contest is also a fun addition. Some players think that the CPU plays smart and is challenging but fair enough for them. The enabling of online play-mode is very exciting for its players specially when there’s lots of it. Players are not likely to get bored with this game as there are tons of ways to keep the players busy in this one. This game is one not to be missed.

The release of NBA 08 won't worry either EA or the 2K Sports team in any way. It may have a few tricks up its sleeve, but this is a series that has a long way to go before it can contend with the big boys. For every positive there is a smattering of negatives and for every innovation there is a collection of glaring omissions. You can see what Sony are trying to do - they are trying to fill that middle ground between NBA Live and NBA 2K. For the time being however, th... Read more

NBA 08
Reviewer: eurogamer.net01 December 2007- Overall 7

Overall, NBA '08 is not a bad game. It just tries to make up in presentation what it lacks in depth. But I'd venture to guess that most basketball fans would probably choose a title with a larger variety of options over one that looks slightly prettier. Read more
