This game was released on January 2011 in various countries in Europe as well as in America, Australia and New Zealand. LittleBigPlanet 2 is a sequel to the previous critically acclaimed 2008 game LittleBigPlanet and is out only for PlayStation 3 platform. In this game, players continue on Ackboy’s journey after the previous events in the first game and would find that an inter-dimensional vacuum cleaner makes a sudden appearance over the skies of LittleBigPlanet and starts to suck up its population as well as Sackboy. Then, Larry Da Vinci, the leader of a semi secret and semi organized group known as “The Alliance”, comes to the rescue by saving Sackboy from “The Negativitron”(the inter-dimensional vacuum cleaner). The organized group plans on battling with The Negativitron and overcoming it before it annihilates Craftworld.
LittleBigPlanet 2 will have its players controlling the main character, Sackboy again. However this time, players are not restricted to platforming levels as they now can choose to create various types of levels including puzzle, role-playing and racing games. Other than that, players get a chance to create and customize their heads-up display to put up their game type. In this game, there will be new animation recording options and players would get to form full-motion cut-scenes to go along their level design, manipulating the camera for gameplay and cut-scenes, so that, players could record their own sound effects for use in the gameplay. New tools that is available in this game is “controllinator”, a direct control seat which enable players to assign specific actions such as Sixaxis motion control or button presses. There’s also a new enemy creation where players could create Sackbots, where it could be customized using costumes and decorations.
