Set to revolutionise multi-terrain, multi-vehicle racing, FUEL is a fiercely competitive game without boundaries. On and off-road, two and four-wheeled vehicles race a massively diverse environment, from scaling the highest snow-capped mountain to racing the deepest arid canyon. In a fictional present, vast swathes of the Unit…
Fuel is definitely a racer that will appeal to some, especially fans of Motorstorm and to some extent Test Drive Unlimited. It is a fun game to play, although not quite up to the standard of Codemasters other racers. Read more
Out on the cliff edges, the broken bridges and tangled forest lie a dazzling amount of tracks on a dazzling amount of surfaces and conditions. Altogether, we're told, there are 5,000 miles of driveable land. If that wasn't enough players jump in the hot seat of a huge variety of customisable four and two-wheel vehicles from dirt bikes to high end roadsters, buggies and stripped down saloons. The trouble is, such a blank canvas actually turns out to be a little bit of a... Read more
Just like all modern racing games, Fuel packs in online multiplayer functionality, following the Burnout Paradise route of offering an "online free ride" mode which lets you travel across the world at the same time as others, so you'll see human-controlled vehicles on the roads (and off them) as well as the computer-guided ones. Born of Asobo Studios' cutting-edge proprietary engine that has benefited from over four years of development Fuel will present players with an astonishing no-boundaries playfield that's over 5 000 square miles (14 000+ km') in size. With environmental detail inspired by America's most incredible... Read more
Fuel is the latest driving game from Codemasters, the studio that brought us Colin McRae: DIRT. Fuel's supposedly set in a post-apocalyptic world, but there's no intro to set the scene and despite boasting one of the most expansive game worlds in history, the races themselves are shockingly bland. This is a great games that does admittedly have some flaws. The handling is quite sludgey, the online options are a bit limited and the music is awful.BUT, if you put time into it,it's an engrossing experience which offers both relaxing exploration/collection and exciting racing.Definatly worth giving a chance. These are not FUEL screens! Fuel has the most beautiful (and biggest) enviroment I’ve ever seen! Read more
Fuel is a game that I was really looking forward to, however reviews came up and put a bucket of water on the fire and I waited for it to get sent to me from swapgame instead of laying down the cash for it and even though it was free in the end, I still feel ripped off. The whole idea is a big open world to venture around in, however the world is so devoid of life that it is no fun, and the fact that the races are set in a open world makes no difference at all. It looks... Read more
