Review Summary
The game Folklore has a very unusual theme. The characters in this game struggle in finding whether there’s life after death and whether the world would be different if they had proof that life does exists after death. As per thinking, this game is not a role-playing game but an action/adventure one with the story based on the modern day which is based in two regions, and the afterlife. One of the bad advantages of this game, according to reviewers is that its comic-inspired cutscenes are lifeless. Some think that playing the same areas as two different characters gets repetitive. Another thing is that its linear, confined areas are separated by frequent loading screens. On the good side, reviewers found this game to be intriguing with a complex murder mystery. Another reviewer commented on how it’s fun to suck the souls out of your enemies while another said that there’s a good use of Sixaxis functionality. Another advantage in this game is that the varied enemy design requires use of all the different folk attacks at players’ disposal. In spite of the few bad reviews, this game managed to keep players interested in it, struggling to get at the end of the game.

Overall Folklore is a missable game but will provide a few days fun of snatching up funny looking and crazy big ass monsters. Beautiful worlds and a compelling storyline that might draw in older players but overall I'd say this is one for the younger kids of our generation to sink their teeth into, Gotta catch em all! Graphically superb (very HD TV friendly!), the graphics will keep you hooked on Folklore for hours on end, the gameplay can sometimes be a little bit slow and quite frankly it's more enjoyable watching paint dry but those times are few and far between, 99% of the time you'll be loving every second of what Folklore has to throw at you. Every step of the way during Folklore, it’s as though developers Game Republic have been afraid of experimenting with the capabilities of the next-gen, sticking rigidly to formulas that were outdated and poor on the PS2. Slovenia - info sought
I'm considering a few weeks touring & hiking in northern Slovenia (Julijske & Kawiniski Savinjske Alpe). The theme of the expedition is the the Karst (limestone) scenery, plus local folklore/customs. If you are still looking for a game then I agree with Rostam, and you should 100% pick up Folklore, it's rather cheap now to. I gave it a go today after dismissing it before and had good fun.
