Review Summary
FIFA 08 is a sport PS 3 game about mastering your football skills. It is the first game of EA Sports. It has plenty of new gameplay modes and features. There is the new Be-a Pro mode which will focus on you as a single footballer. Your football team consists of 11 players. Points are rewarded depending on your performance towards your team. You have to keep the player in position, passed the ball around and scoring goals. The soundtrack of the game is amazing which contains famous anthems and forthcoming indie or dance numbers. The best part of the game is that it has a special feature such as individual facial details, personalized items of kit, and haircuts. There are 30 licensed stadiums which have scale and detail, with video boards up high displaying feeds from the camera cranes that sit above the goals. Moreover, it has a shirt deformation technology and dramatic, low-angle camera shots. The advantages in this game are that it contains a lot of game modes, online and off line games, and challenging opponent AI. The disadvantages are that it has a sharp learning curve and a strong trick system. Viewers find the game as interesting as ever. It is said that the presentation of this game is excellent and it is useful to practice your football skills.

From the moment you step on the pitch, FIFA 08 challenges you to think and react like a real football player by giving you complete control over all of the action. New manual controls enable you to dictate the play with control over through-passing and crossing. Control the goalkeeper in one-on-one situations to deny the striker yourself. Take ultimate control over your defenders with new manual controls that enable you to use the right-stick to quickly switch defende... Read more

FIFA 08
Reviewer: gamecell.co.uk15 November 2007This is the definitely the real thing, encompassing all the beautiful (and the ugly) aspects of the game, and if Fifa 08 loses a few fans by being less carefree and “pick up and play”, it will gain many like myself by delivering a refined, custom-built experience. Add to this - the always welcome - properly licensed teams and players and you just about have the total football that Cruyff would be proud of. Read more

With plenty of single player modes to entertain you for months and the online depth that fans have craved, any self-respecting FIFA fan who picks up FIFA 08 should be ready to clear off their gaming plates. Though still a few steps behind the sweet game play of PES, the gameplay gap between the two series is becoming less and less discernable, while the presentation gap is an ever widening chasm, in FIFA's favor. Depending on how PES 2008 ends up, the battle for footb... Read more

FIFA Soccer 08

EA Sports has taken substantial risks with this year's FIFA, but the resulting game can certainly be considered a successful experiment. It plays a more difficult and more refined game of football than its predecessors, and while it should be emphasised that the game is perhaps too difficult at times, it will reward players who put in the practice. The sheer number of game modes make FIFA the most complete football game on the market, while the authenticity and qualit... Read more

FIFA 08 (PS3): Fifa's PS3 debut
Reviewer: Olly0390, dooyoo.co.uk20 hours ago- Overall 8

Fifa 08 is a good update to the long running series of football games from EA. The first PS3 title is different to the games that have gone before in that it is not as fast paced and therefore not as simple as previous titles. The game now requires you to create goals more imaginatively and good build up playy is essential in the higher difficulties. The difficulties, ranging from amateur to legendary, provide a platform for all levels to enjoy a good football sim. Th... Read more

What more can i say this game is fantasti! Easily the best football sim to date. I too anxiously was waiting for the PESvFifa releases. Now having played both, FIFA blows PES away. The game is fluid and graphically great even to watch as a spectator. EA have finally made it a bit harder to score whch i always thought was a trait in the past! Online play is great. 'Be a Pro' is a bit weird especially online as its more like watching the under 10's play at my local park... Read more
