    Far Cry 2 has greatly impressed me. With gorgeous visuals, high quality sound and extremely well conceived gameplay mechanics, it's a near essential title.     Despite never playing the first in the series, I was quickly taken in by the consistent advertisements shown on television commercials.     Far Cry is great looking, free roaming (within reason) good weapons and control. A good attempt but don't just do one player levels, go on line.If you play it in the spirit in which it was designed to be played you'll love it and it'll steal time off you. Compare it to a Halo, Resistance style shooter you'll be gutted. Don't question why people reappear or convoys go round and round in a set route or you'll just get disappointed.
