Dynasty Warriors 6 (also known as Shin Sangokumuso 5 in Japan) is a hack-and-slash video game. It is developed by Omega Force and published by Koei. This game is set in Ancient China which is called Three Kingdoms and this is the sixth official series released in the Dynasty Warriors series. The game was officially released to the public on November 11, 2007 in Japan; February 19, 2008 in North America and February 19, 2008 in Europe.

Features

The instalment varies greatly from its previous series. One of the main game’s additions is Renbu system, which alters your character’s attacks depending on how long you can chain together kills. Thus, in order to do more damage and perform flashier techniques, you simply have to dispatch as many soldiers as possible in a chain and build up your Renbu Gauge. Another major addition is the skill tree, from which characters can earn higher Renbu Ranks, special abilities and improve their attributes. As the progression of the skill tree moves from left to right, those on the right side of the tree are harder to unlock than those on the left. Typically the one which unlocks Infinite Renbu is on the farthest right. In Dynasty Warriors 6 horses must now be unlocked by collecting saddles from boxes or beaten officers. These horses can gain levels, skills, and some can even change into the legendary Red Hare, although this is very rare. Besides that, the developer has also widened the areas. As previous series player has to defeat a defence captain in order to open the outer gate to a base, now they have to simply break it down with attacks. Another upgrade made is the abilities to swim and climb ladders. The game is rated B by CERO; T by ERCB and 12+ by PEGI.
