Review Summary

Devil May Cry 4 is a challenging game, though not extremely challenging. The game features a lot of gameplay choices so you are able to choose according to your preferences. You can initially choose one of two difficulties, then go on to more difficult levels. You can even choose whether you want the game to perform some combos for you automatically. You will play as Dante, with a good selection of weapons and fighting styles but for the most part of the game you’ll play as Nero, the newcomer, who also h…

You will play as Dante, with a good selection of weapons and fighting styles but for the most part of the game you’ll play as Nero, the newcomer, who also has a variety of exciting and stylish moves. However the game lacks some surprises. In Devil May Cry 4 every shocking and bloody scene is followed by an equally funny one that blends with the story. Some reviewers find the game quite good with some quite extraordinary action sequences made easy by precise controls. They even like Nero’s new character with its new moves and the glossy animations. The visuals are stunning and the game continuously amazes you, the characters are well designed and fun to fight. However some reviewers find that there are too many repetitions of the fights and the environments and after some time the game is no longer fun.

The first High Def iteration of the series provides more of the same visceral action, whilst bringing in a new lead character to freshen up the title and allow for some more innovative gameplay. He also works tirelessly to rid the island of demons. His world is shattered when Dante... Read more
