The follow-up to the #1 next-generation game, Call of Duty 3 delivers the intensity of being closer than ever to the fury of combat during the Normandy Breakout, the historic campaign that made the liberation of Paris possible and brought the Allies a step closer to Berlin. Through a seamless narrative that delivers the rush of unrelenting battle and breathtaking action, players assume the roles of four ordinary Allied soldiers?American, British, Canadian and Polish?and... Ever since the original release of Call of Duty for the PC in 2003, the franchise has gone on to grow and flourish. To take advantage of this flourishing status, Call of Duty 3 was released with on all consoles, though one version was missing back in 2006. Since the PS3 has only just been released in PAL territories, the respective version has only just hit the store shelves. Just as the other versions of Call of Duty 3 , the game has been first developed for consoles,... Read more

For the launch of the 360 we had Call of Duty 2, a little bit later and for the PS3 launch we have Call of Duty 3. CoD3 takes you through some of the more traumatic battles of World War II during the Normandy breakout campaign for the liberation of Paris. The real question that I was asking myself before I picked up the title was whether I would find anything new here and would it be a worthy upgrade or more of a case of "same old, same old"? Rain, gunfire, blood, sweat and the overpowering stench of fear and desperation: it sounds like your average Friday night out in Barnsley, but the truth is it's Call of Duty 3 we're talking about and, brilliantly, it's all the better for it. Call of Duty 3 is a riot of bad weather, extreme violence and, best of all, radioactive amounts of historically accurate fun. And it all looks frighteningly realistic. Rain sheets down onto mud-churned battlefields as American... Read more

Call of Duty 3 is one of the first fps that puts you inside the game and arms you with a "gun" to kill something. So, go ahead and take your anger out on some nazis as the entire army runs your way. There are plenty of guns to use and the single-player campaign is lots of fun. Some have complained of the game being short, but I felt it provided a good amount of entertainment. Im sure a multiplayer mode would of extended the "funness" of this game, but the campaign does...
