A solid singleplayer campaign souped up by a cracking multi-player experience. From a technical standpoint, Bad Company sets a new benchmark in the FPS genre. Read more

As in Halo 3 Bad Company has a promotional ranking system and as with Call of Duty 4 there are a number of different classes (Assault, Demolition, Specialist, Recon/Support), so the more you play the higher you rank (as long as you don’t keep killing friendlies!) and the more weapons/gadgets you acquire (all the cool secondary & tertiary gizmos like laser targeting systems have to be earned). Combine this with the attraction of the destructible scenery and I expect Bad... Read more

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 already has masses of First Person Shooters on the shelf, so Battlefield: Bad Company was going to have to do something great to stick out, and it does. It’s the best multiplayer game to be released this year and is certainly up there with Call of Duty 4. It’s a different type of multiplayer to that game, but it’s a worthy investment. It might not feature a class based objective system like Quake Wars, but it’s sure a damn better... Read more

Prepare to be assaulted, Bad Company is as subtle as a kick in the head, and attempts to do so, visually and aurally, every step of the way. Don’t misunderstand, there’s grace, poise and balance throughout the game, but it’s a gritty, explosive title that attempts to re-define what we should expect from a first person shooter, raising the bar considerably. Initially, the single player campaign mode grates, grouping you with a trio of war-grizzled vets with dialogue... Read more

I'm a PC gamer and when I tried this out I was skeptical, never though a console FPS would be such great fun. With an almost completely destructible environment you have just as much fun destroying things when enemy targets run low. The graphics (especially through HDMI) and physics are top class. The story line and characters create an entertaining game with added humor to lighten the mood. All in all a great game and you'll spend hours blowing up, shooting and sniping... Read more

I bought this in the gold edition for the PS3 last week. The game play is quite realistic but I still think that other games out there on the PS3 still have the edge. The Story mode on the game is good and easy to follow but doesn't last long enough, I completed the game in about 4 hours and I'm rubbish on these things. The Online gaming is good but the problem is that you are limited to what you can play (Not enough variety). All in all its a good game but shop around... Read more

After loving BF2 on the PC, and then BF2142, I finally have a console equivalent. Bad Company does not disappoint in terms of gameplay, with five balanced classes and great vehicles including tanks and attack helicopters. Graphics are adequate, but the huge maps and incredible audio more than make up for it. The defining aspect, for me, is that this version of BF has its share of "Battlefield moments." These are random events of skill, luck, and hilarity, such as blowing... Read more

Although its not the top notch game, the game is still great. The campaign seems redundant, all you do is invade places and shoot people. But the variety in locations, pleases your eyes, and brain, so that you have the feeling of difference. Online play also has many locations you may deploy. But still, the people with the higher rank, who are very skillful at the game, also have better weapons. But you could always just slowly rise through the ranks until you have... Read more

This is the first game I've played where destructible environments actually work and change the gameplay! No longer could I be my sneaky self and stay in cover, when that cover can be removed in an instant. Because of this, Bad Company feels unique and different to every other shooter out there. Call of Duty 4 is still better, but this deserves it's own glory. Read more
