The AoF Anthology had its fans and the same holds true for the FFBA. Anyone who is looking to play one of the more recognizable 2D fighting franchises could do a lot worse than this. For those who are universal fans of the SNK fighting franchises, here's hoping that the World Heroes and Samurai Showdown collections are not too far off, until then you're in good hands with the Bogards, Geese and the rest of the FF cast. Aside from survival and time attack modes and a bit of a gallery, there are few extras available on Garou Densetsu Battle Archives Vol 1. It really is a basic package that can thankfully be scored on import for a pretty cheap price. Emulation is spot on, unlike the inferior Last Blade 2-in-1 and the slightly wonky Art of Fighting release. For those that love their 2D fighters and Neo Geo games in general, or perhaps those who wish to save some space by avoiding... Read more

Fatal Fury deserves its place in the higher echelons of videogame culture and it deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as the other greats that we all know and love. It’s a shame that this release has come at the end of the PS2’s life, when a lot of people have gotten rid of their console for bigger and better things. As an Xbox Live, PSN or Wii Arcade title, this would have been more than welcomed, but as a full price release, you may end up feeling a little... Read more

You couldn’t get away from it. It didn’t matter where you were; you could be in the middle of an overcrowded arcade at the theater, shutting out the thunderous roar of bowling balls clattering into the pins at the local lanes, or even staring slack-jawed at the television in your living room. Fatal Fury may have first arrived on the scene when the mighty Street Fighter II was still huge, but even so, the series’ historical significance should not be undermined. The Fatal Fury series was a precursor to SNK’s own beloved King of Fighters and had features which would become mainstays of that very series, and others that remain largely unique to it even in this advanced day-and-age. Fatal Fury: Battle Archives Volume 1 is a celebration of Fatal Fury’s... Read more

Fatal Fury Battle Archives is a fighting game compilation for the PS2. It compiles four games: Fatal Fury 1-3 and Fatal Fury Special. U can’t really go wrong with this collection , since it is value priced and has 4 games for the price of one. Also, if u are a fighting fan, especially of 2D fighters, u will specially like this game because it offers the old school fighting challenges of games like Street Fighter. Fatal Fury (FF) 1 is the least favorable of the 4 games,... Read more
