List All 9 PricesHalf-Life took the FPS out of the barren alien worlds of the 90’s and brought it kicking and screaming into the 21st Century. Half-Life 2 has grabbed the whole shebang and propelled things even further; yes Doom 3 has its pluses and in some small ways is maybe as good as, if not better, in certain aspects but for the whole deal there just isn’t anything that can touch Half-Life 2. It’s the bees’ knees, the cats’ whiskers; hell it’s the dogs bo… lets just... Read more
Right, well, by now you should have an idea of just how stunning this game is. Seriously, it’s the crème de la crème, best of the best, top of the… err… pops. It is the pure essence of enjoyment from start to finish, and a more than worthy successor to the game that started it all off. Just get it. Trust me, you won’t regret it. Read more
Gordon Freeman is a lonely man. Granted, being a messiah to the remnants of humanity – a small resistance movement who look in his eyes and see their liberation from enslavement personified – is enough to dissociate anyone from the rest of the crowd, but this is a much less authoritative form of isolation. In Freeman’s eyes, he is no greater or more important than any of his allies, but somewhat unco sensually accepts what has been thrown upon him. He realises that... Read more
After going through Black Mesa and getting teleported to another planet, fighting the leader of the Aliens and then being mysteriously "kidnapped" by the G-Man, I still knew little about this world. All this being said, if you’re a Half-Life fan this isn’t going to bother you much - it’s more of the same and a continuation in the storyline. Additionally, Episode Two is a lot better in our opinion, so consider Episode One a refresher course in all things Half-Life and get yourself the next instalment as that, ladies and gentlemen has been worth the wait. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM IF YOU HAVE A MACINTOSH!!! It ONLY runs on "Classic OS 9", which is an operating system over 8 years old. It does NOT run on OS X at all. A HUGE disappointment and clearly false advertising! Also, the company, BSL Mart, is very difficult to contact. There is no phone number, you can only send them e-mails. Also, the return slip was already peeled off on the packaging slip, so it is obvious that someone else already returned it and BSL Mart just... Read more
Fun: This review is from: Half-Life 2: The Orange Box (PC DVD) (Video Game) the best thing about this game is that it will run on ANYTHING!! seriously if you hammered together an old washing machine some knitting needles and the back end of a robin reliant IT WOULD RUN HALF LIFE 2!!!! so if your pc or laptop has 'intel series integrated graphics' which it probably does unless you brave enough to tinker around and upgrade the graphics card which i for one am not, do not...
