Empire Earth; yet another Age of Empires spin-off? The short answer is "yes!", because apart from the improvements in graphics, the ability to move the camera angle and the considerably longer timeline, they are practically identical. One of the key features in this game that separates this game from any other is its extra long range of epoch! In fact it goes from prehistoric (millions of years ago) right up to the Nano Age (some time in the future!). There isn't really... Read more

When I spoke to Goodman, I asked what the most exciting moment of this project was for him. 'One of the most exciting days for me was after the first 12 months, when the graphics guy got a teapot on the screen. That was an exciting day,' he said. Perhaps we'd have needed to have been there to truly appreciate the excitement caused by a hot beverage dispenser floating on a blank background, as his zeal was lost on me and the blank-faced journalists around me. Each to... Read more

Empire Earth a real-time strategy game that lets you control the destiny of a fledgling civilization through 500,000 years of human history, developed by Stainless Steel Studios, a company founded (1998) 0by Rick Goodman, the creator/lead designer of Microsoft's award-winning and best-selling Age of Empires game. Although Empire Earth is similar to Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings (game's controls, interface features, and even some of its keyboard shortcuts), it's... Read more

Empire Earth is not an easy game, nor is it a game for those new to computer strategy gaming.  The AI is a very tough opponent and plays the game very well, providing players with some stiff competition in the random map games.  It is also not a short game.  Resource gathering is a slow process further hampered by a six citizen per resource site limit.  While in theory it is possible to play the game from prehistory through the future, the slow resource gathering... Well i realise that the graphics may not be up to scratch but it is an amazingly fun game to play. I also love EE2 but they say , the original is always the best, i agree here. Skirmishes can last for hours and the story mode is good as well. The main advantage/disadvantage(some people like it some don't) is how you can go up an epoch. Basically you can go up an age. Great game, spent alot of my 11th grade summer staying up all night playing this game for hours with my lil bro. It's a huge game, and has alot of features, like a scenerio editor which makes for some really fun custom games. If you're looking for a good game to waste some time on and not alot of money invest in this one...also the expansion adds alot of fun. Read more

From Sierra, the makers of such instant classics as half life, comes Empire Earth. An epic of a game spanning over 500 000 years of human history. The game is undeniably a strategic affair, the premise, to construct a base, raise an army and quash those who seek to destroy you. In this respect it is similar to the likes of the unstoppable Command & Conquer series, an absolute giant in this genre. However, EE differs from C&C in a few key aspects which I will now go into....
