Summary: I was really looking forward to the release of Dragon Age 2 and after completing the game after 65 hours I was so disappointed. It seems like the game was rushed out the door with little concern on what they were putting out. Here are my observations of the game. The game graphics look great but the play area has been greatly reduced to take place almost entirely in the city Kirkwall. Seeing the same areas over and over again just gets tiresome.
Summary: Once upon uninstall of Dragon Age 2 from an XP I found hiding in a cave of Registry at hkey local machine, system, two deadly creatures using invisibility at control set 002 (of course) services, shared access, parameters, firewall policy, so I chased them through interfacesUnfirewall and security, finally cut them up in Setup. I want to purchase games (rpg and fps) which do not require online install. Thank You!
Summary: I just finished playing DA2. It took me some 50hrs as a mage, I think I solved more than 95% of quest in the game. Taking that into account my criticism is well based. I'll keep it short: main problem of this game, as many here have already stated, is in it's name. Same story was with Fallout 3, when you had an army of children who were saying you should look at it without comparing it to F1 & F2. 99% of them never played the two previous games.
Summary: Many has been said about game itself, I want to point out about acquiring this game. First of all Amazon has pretty silly download manager. It looks like it has come from 20 years past. For example you can not resume download from program itself, instead you need to login to website and resume download from there. Download process was often interrupted. But when download finished I was surprised by fact that it actually keeps all setup file to you.
Summary: Why the title evening the score? because bioware got caught reviewing their own game on websites and giving it a perfect score each time. Ok so this makes sense for a company, that wants to promote their game however they are abusing the system and aren't good at hiding the fact they did post the reviews. google "bioware posts fake reviews." its on the steam forums. or you can google "metacritic avanost" which is the account that the bioware user made.
Summary: Graphics: 9/10 Sound: 9/10 Fun: 3/10 Gameplay: 2/10 Pros: Beautiful graphics and character modeling. A fun interactive movie. Cons: Plain and simple, this is no longer D&D. This is not even close to games like Neverwinter nights. As this genre has evolved (devolved), it has become less and less complex to a fault. The graphics get better but the worlds get smaller and items/options get miniscule. Everything is linear.
Summary: I've been obsessed with this game because the story is well written and engaging. The NPCs are entertaining and hilarious. Combat is livelier than previous version. Relationship management and character leveling are slightly different than prior versions. For mages, they made it harder to achieve the large area effect spells in different areas (fire, ice, electricity). What's the point of having a mage if no massively damage dealing spells?
Summary: [THIS REVIEW IS DA2 SPOILER FREE] As the sequel to the highly successful Dragon Age Origins ("DAO") RPG, this was one of the most highly anticipated computer games in 2011. I'm one of those "oldies" (a.k.a. non-console gamer) from the PC era of RPGs such as the AD&D Dragonlance/Forgotten Realms series, Baldur's Gate, Bard's Tale, Betrayal at Krondor, Ultima .....etc. Yes, DAO was so good that it made it to the "classic" list of RPGs. So DA2 really had big shoes to fill.
Summary: Bioware managed to take a great game Dragon Age Origins and make it into a good game Dragon Age 2. I found this to be a very enjoyable game and a nice way to kill 50 or 60 hours, however unlike Dragon Age Origins I find that one play through is enough. I would not consider this an all time great RPG game.
