The Pioneer BDR-206MBK is an internal Blu-Ray writer that can burn Blu-Ray discs at a speed of 4X. Announced in 2010, it is the world’s first PC Blu-ray burner that can support the BDXL format. This internal SATA burner has a 3D enabled player. It can read and write the new Triple Layer (TL) 100GB and Quad Layer (QL) BDXL media. It can also read and write standard Blu-ray discs. Not forgetting, it can read and write DVD media and CD media. Also on the same list, the internal burner can read and write DVD+/-R/RW, DVD-RAM, CD-R/RW. When using this internal Blu-Ray writer, this optical drive can help to enhance recording accuracy and it can also further limit artificial noise for quality playback.

This Blu-Ray optical drive is compatible to be used with several software including CyberLink’s PowerDVD 10, PowerProducer 5, Power2Go 7, InstantBurn 5, PowerBackup 2, Medi@Show 5 and LabelPrint 2. This optical drive can burn BDXL discs at 4X, BD-RE XL discs at 2X. This internal SATA burner can burn BDXL disc with a capacity of up to 128GB. The BDR-206MBK internal Blu-Ray writer uses SATA interface and comes with a 4MB buffer memory. The Pioneer BDR-206MBK is compatible to be used with Windows based1 personal computers. It is the first drive that is able to read and write using the new multi-layer recordable Blu-ray Disc format. This internal Blu-Ray writer can be used for video and broadcast archiving and storage. It can also be used to capture and for the playback of high definition programming. Moreover, the internal Blu-Ray writer can be used for data archiving needs.
