Philips SPD3500CC

The Philips SPD3500CC is an external DVD RW optical drive that reads and write DVD, RAM, Dual layer and CD formats. It is manufactured locally in Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Greece. It is of 14.5 cm in width by 17 cm in depth by 4.2 cm in height and weighs approximately 0.9 kg.

Features

The Philips SPD3500CC is of an external enclosure type and uses a USB 2.0 interface. In terms of optical storage, it supports DVD± RW (±R DL) and DVD-RAM. It has a read speed of 48x for CD and 16x for DVD as well as a write speed of 48x for CD, 18x for DVD +R/ -R, 8x for DVD –R DL and 4x for DVD +R DL. It supports disc labelling via LightScribe Technology and has a buffer size of 2MB as well as an average access time of 160 ms. Besides that, it also incorporates Seamless Link Buffer Under RUn Protection and features MP3 Playback and Dynamic Calibration. Supported CD Formats include DVD-Video as well as other supported media types such as CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD+R, DVD+R D and DVD-R DL. It complies with the following standards which include Plug and Play, EN 60950, EN55022, UL 1950, EN55024, FCC Part 15 and EN 60825.
