Overall, the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is a fantastic package. The keyboard helps to make it one of the most comfortable and practical netbooks available and, unlike rival products from HP, it doesn't cost the earth. Performance may not be earth shattering, but it was never likely to be, and isn’t a great deal worse than other netbooks. Overall, the excellent usability on offer and the impressive machine makes this an appealing choice. Thank you to PC World for the loan of... Read more
Although it’s nicely expandable, the basic Mini 10 is expensive for what it contains and the battery life is unimpressive Good points Great expansion options; cheaper than the competition; several setup choices Bad points Doesn’t offer much in terms of performance; poor battery life Read more
Computer makers are trying to get us used to small machines - almost wifi phones with a bigger screen and keyboard. Dell have tried a smaller laptop/notebook than this though and it wasn’t a great success. So here is the Inspiron Mini 10 - their first ten-inch laptop/notebook computer. Measuring 10.3 x 7.2 x 1.3 inches, it’s both thinner and shorter than most rivals. At just 1.2kg it’s lighter too. This new Dell is not small enough for pockets but slips into any... Read more

I purchased this computer as a portable companion. I used to have an Eee PC 2G Surf, which I received from the bank for free on a promotion. The Eee, while really small and portable was just too slow and small for anything but the simplest of web surfing. I was lucky to sell it for a few $ at a garage sale. Read more
I agree with the reviewer who complained about the touchpad. It's the one thing I dislike about this computer. It's a great piece of hardware for the money. It's small and light (obviously); the keyboard is very nice (even for a guy who's 6'2" with moderately large hands); the small screen is quite workable (and I'm a heavy user of both of the large screens on my office desktop); it's thoughtfully laid out (eg USB ports on both sides). I bought it to travel with, take... Read more
