The stretched display not only offers more screen space, helped by the high 1366x768 resolution, but allows for a normal-sized keyboard which makes typing that much easier. In spite of using the slowest Intel Atom available, the Acer Aspire One 751 did not seem much slower than any other netbook. If lightness and screen size are more important to you than battery life, take a closer look at Acer’s biggest-screen Aspire One 751. Read more
This Acer Netbook measures 28x21x3cm and weights 1.35kilos. It has a shiny lid (shows fingermarks) a matt black base and silver grey keyboard surround. The larger battery (to give the eight hour battery life) sticks out 2cm from the back and the back of the sides are chamfered slightly meaning that the items at the back of each side (Ethernet and VGA) protrude back slightly. The left side has Ethernet, AC input, two USB ports, and microphone and headset sockets. Read more
Although it falls short of some of its bolder claims, the Acer Aspire One is still a very good computer, especially if you are going to use it for working whilst on the road. Read more
The large - for a netbook - 11.6in screen on the Aspire One 751 takes these little laptops in an interesting direction. However, the price is getting uncomfortably close to the point where you can buy a proper laptop with a proper CPU. ® Read more
We love the Aspire One 751's stunning screen, slim design and spacious keyboard. It's all the more disappointing, therefore, that Acer has kitted it out with a sluggish processor Read more
Aspire One 751 is a nice little netbook initially. Managed to get all my software installed easily over wireless network and connect to the internet to send and receive email. Was feeling happy with my netbook until the screen went faulty after only 2 days. I find it difficult to give a better reveiw because I haven't had it working long enough. Read more
This unit has surpassed every hope that I had for it. It is a full featured (minus DVD) comupter. Full sized keyboard with a great touch. I traded a 15 pound "portable" for 2.5 pounds. Love it!!!!! Read more
This little laptop is surprisingly powerful, so far I haven't had any trouble running applications on it, I have pretty much treated it as a full on computer and so fa it hasn't let me down. However about a month or two after buying the keyboard had some troubles and wouldn't recognise some of the keys when pressed; a hardware issue that early on was a little worrying. But I sent it off and they fixed it ok. It is worth bearing in mind though that I was carrying it... Read more
This review is from: Acer Aspire One 751, 11.6-Inch HD LED Netbook, Intel Atom Z520, 1.22 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB, XP Home, up to 4 Hours Battery Life, Webcam, Wifi (Red) (Electronics) I had great difficulty purchasing this netbook from the local stores for my sons birthday as this was the particular notebook that he wanted. I found this notebook on Amazon which was significantly cheaper and they delivered it to my home the next day for free. I will recommend Amazon to all... Read more
Premium netbook product with unbeatable screen. I can edit my canon raw now in dpp properly on holiday with a super-light super-slim netbook. I don't understand other reviews which have described the keyboad and scren as flimsy - they are thin duh! but made very well. Battery last over 5 hours, but have not fully tested extent. CPU on current models runs at 1.33ghz, have overclocked easily to 1.5ghz but afraid to go more.Actually 1.33 is fine for me, but n280 would have... Read more
