The large - for a netbook - 11.6in screen on the Aspire One 751 takes these little laptops in an interesting direction. However, the price is getting uncomfortably close to the point where you can buy a proper laptop with a proper CPU. ® Read more

In comparison to the combination of Intel Atom N270/GMA950, one has to accept considerable curtailments as far as the system's performance is concerned. The Intel Atom Z250 CPU with a clock rate of nominal 1.33 GHz in connection with the Intel US15W chip set and GMA 500 chip set graphics are deployed for the Acer Aspire One. We already know a variation of this combination from Sony's P11 series, it currently is the weakest version of Intel's Atom platform. The equipment... Read more

Not all Intel Atoms are equal. Here, the Z520, is much slower than the others. To compensate for this, Acer has built in a large (glossy) 11.6 inch panel (1366x768 pixels). Battery life is also right up there with 5h33 when playing films. Read more

The stretched display not only offers more screen space, helped by the high 1366x768 resolution, but allows for a normal-sized keyboard which makes typing that much easier. In spite of using the slowest Intel Atom available, the Acer Aspire One 751 did not seem much slower than any other netbook. If lightness and screen size are more important to you than battery life, take a closer look at Acer’s biggest-screen Aspire One 751. Read more

Aspire One 751 is a nice little netbook initially. Managed to get all my software installed easily over wireless network and connect to the internet to send and receive email. Was feeling happy with my netbook until the screen went faulty after only 2 days. I find it difficult to give a better reveiw because I haven't had it working long enough. Read more

This unit has surpassed every hope that I had for it. It is a full featured (minus DVD) comupter. Full sized keyboard with a great touch. I traded a 15 pound "portable" for 2.5 pounds. Love it!!!!! Read more

This is for the 2Gb RAM, 250GB hard drive version. Ok i've had it 3 weeks now. First of all it's a great price - as you can see it has come down quite a bit. I've had Vista Home Basic on it, Windows XP Pro, Windows 7 and eeeBuntu. To get high definition video playback to work, from what i've read and tried, you need Vista or Windows 7 (new drivers for the GMA 500 on Intels website). Everyday use with XP is faster than Vista, but Windows 7 appeared to be even quicker than... Read more
