Samsung CLX-2160

The Samsung CLX-2160 is a multifunctional printer with a print speed of up to 4 ppm A4 (colour). Its first print out time for mono is 14 seconds. This printer has a maximum resolution of up to 2400 x 600 dpi effective output and has manual duplex print capabilities. As a copier, its optical resolution is 600 x 300 dpi (text/photo mode) and 600 x 600 dpi (photo mode). First print out time for colour is 18 seconds with a zoom rate of 50-200% and supports multi copy. As a scanner the unit has an optical resolution of 1200 x 600 dpi with up to 4800 x 4800 dpi (enhanced resolution). Its effective scan length and width is 208 x 289 mm. This unit has an input capacity or 150 sheets for its cassette tray with an output capacity of 100-sheet face down. It accepts Envelopes, Labels, Card Stock, Transparency papers (pre-printed, glossy, punched, recycled) media type. The printer measures 143 x 353 x 333 mm and weighs 16.5 kg. The unit has a 128 MB system memory, a USB 2.0 interface and is compatible with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/2003/Vista, Various Linux OS including Red Hat 8.0~9.0, Mandrake 9.2~10.1, SuSE 8.2~9.2 and Fedora Core 1~4, Mac OS X 10.3~10.4. It prints out 2000 A4/letter pages at 5% coverage with a standard black toner cartridge and 1000 A4/letter pages at 5% coverage with a Yellow/Magenta/Cyan toner cartridge.

The Samsung CLX-2160 features a up to 2400dpi resolution for color printing, along with printing 16 black-and white copies per minute and four colors. Enabling users to copy, scan, and print in laser-precise color; the CLX-2160 offers quiet operation and circular toner capable of printing 2,000 black-and-white copies, or 1,000 color copies. It also features SAMSUNG’s patent low-noise design technology – NO-NOISä (Non-Orbiting Noiseless Optic Imaging System) – has been utilized. It also feaetures diverse functions that minimize the time needed for computer connection, printing, scanning, and copying. The product adopts USB Direct Function to enable scanning and printing without a PC, and storing scanned images in USB memory, while image formats, including TIFF, BMP, JPEG, and PDF, can be read and printed with the USB. Other features are an ID-Copy Button that allows one-touch automatic copying of both sides of an ID, for convenient use at banks, travel agencies, correspondent agencies, and offices where two-sided identification documents often need to be copied.
