Dell V505w is an all-in-one printer that comes with print, copy and scan functions. It is designed in compact body in dark grey and white finish. Among of its main features include wireless connectivity, high-speed output, borderless photos, high-speed output, Dell Ink Management System (DIMS), borderless photos and direct printing.

Features

The V505w delivers up to 4800 x 1200 dpi print resolution for precise printing and 17 ppm for fast copying. Besides that, it is built with a 1200 x 2400 dpi flatbed scanner. Plus, it is built with a wireless adapter allowing user to connect the printer to a network and share the printer with other PCs in the network. It also features proof sheet functionality for red-eye reduction and easy photo editing. It allows user to print borderless photo printing with optional photo cartridge. Moreover, it is also easy to be used as it comes with bright control display and it is pre-installed with print drivers for plug-and-play readiness (for PC system that is purchased directly from Dell together with printer). ABBYY FineReader® optical Character Recognition (OCR) software is included enabling user to scan and edit text on the PC. User enables to make personalized photo greeting cards, edit scanned photos and utilizes other convenient features with Dell Imaging Toolbox software. In addition, it features Dell Ink Management System (DIMS) that is designed to track the number of pages printed with each cartridge and issue alerts when a replacement is needed. The printer delivers up to 25 ppm for black and white printing; and up to 18 ppm for color printing. It is built with 32MB SDRAM internal memory allowing it to prints multiple print jobs synchronously and prints complicated print job. It allows printing up to 3000 pages per month. Media sizes allowable include Letter, Legal, Executive , Statement, A4, B5, A5, A6, postcard (4" x 6"), index card (3" x 5"), 3.5" x 5" (Photo), 5" x 7", Hagaki card, Banner, and Custom Size (up to 8½" x 17" max area). Meanwhile, media types supported include transparencies, envelopes, plain paper, cards, labels, iron-on transfers, photo paper, banner, glossy paper and heavyweight matte paper. It measures 17.7" X 12.8" X 7.0" (W x D x H) in dimension and weighs 12.6 lb. The standard accessories include V305w User’s Guide, power cord, standard capacity color cartridge, installation software CD, Hardware Recycle Program and USB cable.

    I was previously an owner of a Gateway 2000 system. It was a fine computer, and all, but I decided last October to give Dell a try. I can honestly say that I will never buy from any other manufacturer. The computer (at the time of purchase) outperformed pretty much anything else on the market. I had one small problem with a graphics glitch, and a quick call to tech support solved the problem within 5 minutes. I wasn't on hold for more than 1 minute, and the technician... Read more
