Playing music on Mp3 players and exercising at the same time has meant pauses in the music due to shocks the player was taking, but this is not the case with the S302. Flash memory storage is the way this player entices you to exercise and be on the go all the time without worrying over missing your favourite tunes. And this little baby comes with an armband as if it is asking you to check it out! Checking it out is exactly what should be done because the quality of the sound is near perfect and the included ear gear are guaranteed to stay in even if you are bouncing down the track or working on the stair climber.
With added FM tuner and sporty look there is no reason to not be the talk of the club. And speaking of the club, this little gadget is more than a player; it is your personal trainer. With a twist of the knob on the end you can set it to play music for how ever long you want to exercise and when that time is up the player stops playing and you know your session is over. It doubles also as a pedometer, and can calculate the steps you take, the calories you burn and keep all this info right inside the player. Talk about convenience. Sony has your best interests at heart. They don’t want you to worry about your player while you’re playing, so they include the arm band, some software to help you download music, and they made it very small at a little less than 4 inches in length and a smidgen over ½ an inch in diameter.

For such a small piece of technology, the Sony’s player sure is smart. Not only does it play various audio streams as MP3, WMA, ATRAC3, ATRAC3plus, AAC, but it is also capable of capturing radio waves on the Fm frequencies. It features an equalizer that allows you to adjust the sound quality and it copies many features of the iPod menu. The pedometer is activated when connecting the arm-band to your upper arm. This accessory will basically count all the steps that you... Read more

My day to day MP3 player is the Sony Network Walkman NW-E507 . I love this player, and I feel it was severely overlooked in the market, and too quickly replaced by Sony. However, despite its lack of media coverage, any of my friends who has seen it has instantly wanted one and a couple of them even bought one. Read more

Three Months In. This item is great. The only down fall is that I have to charge it through my computer. If that's the way its was suppose to be designed for it, but i didn't realize it. Other then that, I love this MP3 player! Problems Encountered: None Read more
I bought this to use in the gym. I was pleased with the sound quality. I found the sound quality not as good as my iriver but better than my ipod. This has a great little feature that changes the play list to slower or faster paced music depending on your pace. The music change sometimes gave me a little push to continue my workout if for some reason I had wimped out early. You could also change music by giving it a shake. It did require a learning curve and I hadn't... Read more
For another $20, you should get the 2G version. 1G fills up fast. If not for the open source mp3 manager, I would have returned the device. I don't why Sony persists in hiding there head in the DRM sand. Read more
