not reconised as a normal usb storage will not work with out creative CD

The player looks great but I am not happy with the fact that this item is the most in flexible peace of sugar I have seen. It is not reconised as a usb storage hence you can use it as drag and drop why I do not know? You need to use the software for everything and you need to convert every avi divx movie you want to play on it.
