    There's a reason that people always think of Apple's first iPod - 5GB hard drive, mechanical click wheel and all - as the first MP3 player (even though it wasn't by a long way). The navigation wheel was such a groundbreaking and intuitive interface that no other manufacturer ever managed to best it. I guess you really can't re-invent the wheel. Read more

    So what do we think of the iPod touch? There is no doubting the feature set and the range of possibilities on offer here, but without the mobile phone connection it is less useful whilst on the move. Coupled with the size it is beaten both on price and practicality as an MP3 player.     I bought one of these to use in my car as my CD player is giving up the ghost. Needless to say I'm putting it nowhere NEAR my car for now! It's far too entertaining. Great to set up for use of email using your wireless LAN, messing around on YouTube or just reading the news etc in the comfort of your own chair, rather than sitting hunched over a keyboard.Make sure that you allow the battery to deplete totally before you charge it though, so you keep getting full...
