The Apple iPod Photo has a capacity of 60GB. It uses the latest technology and it is known to have a colour screen to replace the non-colour versions. It is the latest model replacing the 30GB player. It is portable and has a music player, which also has display ability. The Apple iPod Photo allows for better and spontaneous sharing and viewing of photos. The hard drive is about 60 GB in capacity. Everyone can view the photos as well as listen to music simultaneously. Apart from this, it also has a camera connector which works remarkably well. The Apple iPod Photo has a long battery life.

The unit measures 61mm X 104mm X 16mm and weighs almost 167 grams. It is much thicker and heavier than the early models. The battery life was tested to run for 15 hours. It has a book marking feature which is a new technique adopted. Firm updates are also possible. However, is not good news with the Apple iPod Photo. It proves to be quite expensive and cannot be chosen or bought by everyone. This iPod package does not include iPhoto or even an A/V cable 4.0 and is said to have a poor battery back up while using photos sharing sessions. It is slightly heavier and thicker when compared to earlier models. Further, it cannot be regarded as a photographers friend as it cannot be transferred to a third party device namely, Belkin’s Digital Camera. It lacks several latest functions such as FM radio, audio recording and even video support. Altogether, the Apple iPod Photo is a costly device with basic functions. However, if you are looking for a unit where you can view photos as well as listen to music simultaneously, then this is definitely the right choice for your needs.

The iPod was first released in September 2001 and, although its basic operation has remained consistent over the years, it has undergone several revisions. The latest release, Generation 4, looks very similar to its predecessor but contains several key differences. The familiar click-wheel is in place, but rather than the indented circular track seen on previous iPods, this model has a raised, grey-coloured click-wheel that disrupts the otherwise attractive white finish.... So is it worth the extra money to turn your iPod into a Photo booth for your family album. First impressions put us in two minds. On the one side, you've got an iPod that can view images on a small 2in screen not much bigger than most camera backs or camera phones, but on the other you've the ability to plug it in to your television and view your digital snaps just as you would take around a pack of photos to a friend's house. What's stopping us getting over-excited? To... Read more

It just seemed like I spent lots of time looking up the i pod online support pages. Unless you want to pay another 50 or so to have the warrenty extended for a second year, you could end up I pod less in less than 2 years. When I am forking out this much money for something, I want it to last for a few years. I had said I would never buy an I pod and I got taken in and jumped on the band wagon - I won't again. I have 2 iPods, both 18 months old and they suffer the same hard drive failure within 6 days of each other, I fear that this is not a coincidence and that one of Apple's flagship products is simply unfit for its designed purpose, unless its purpose is to fail a short time outside the warranty. In which case the product is great because you have to get apple to repair it and this can be done for the value of a new iPod!!! 1 mp3 player for the price of 2, if only I had... Read more

I have had my iPod for almost 1 year, and very happy with it. It has a very bright screen, and when I downloaded a free podcast from iTunes, I was very surprised of how detailed and vibrant the screen was. Although the sound quality is great and can hold an impressive amount of songs for a sleek, stylish and modern MP3 player, I do not like iTunes. I look forward for Apple to add on to iTunes, but this is a weakness. Also, I do NOT pay 99 cents a song. I download a... Read more
