ViewSonic is producing screen after screen, and most of them are of a fairly decent quality. They’re not leading the field, but the ViewSonic VX2255wmh is another very solid and reasonably well-priced screen, particularly so if the polished white casing appeals. Read more

It's a fairly close call between the Samsung SyncMaster 226BW and the ViewSonic VX2255wmb. The Samsung's strength is its vibrant colours and finesse with darker images. However, it can be vibrant to the point of being lurid and doesn't cope well with skin tones. The VX2255wmb makes every displayed image appear natural and realistic, and has enough brightness and contrast to display a rich picture, whether it's in a game environment or from the latest Hollywood... I agree with the previous reviewer. The blue plug (VGA) is fine, but this is a widescreen TFT, so if you want flat screen scaling, then you need to use the DVI connectors. Of course this is only relevant if your graphics card supports DVI. When I set up this monitor for the first time, I didn’t realise that it has two separate video connecting ports.
