The Samsung T260HD performs very well as both a monitor and as a television, which is not something many other combination monitors have been able to manage. There are a few drawbacks, such as not having the picture within a picture feature and the fact that you have to buy an extra kit to mount the monitor on the wall, but overall the monitor produces high quality images and offers you versatility that is almost unparalleled. I bought this TV a few days ago on AMAZON. Amazon offered a great price and a very fast delivery. The TV looks great and delivers a wonderful picture. The sound is the worst of any TV I owned. The speakers point downward and sound as though they were pulled off a $10 clock radio. I am disappointed enough with the lacking sound quality that I wil return the TV to AMAZON. Comment Read more
This is a vast change from a 17" monitor. I have a 17" widescreen laptop. It's good for what it is and does, but this is the montor to have. Prices have dropped 150.00 since I bought this in Dec. 08. Very pleased. Read more
The Samsung T260 HDTV is a computer monitor, it has a DVI connector, and 2 HDMI connectors, plus a standard analog VGA connector. This is a 25.5" (not a 26" as the model number could make you think) TN display LCD monitor. It has built in sound capability (sound can be input by both a sound card or via HDMI cable). As a computer display this is a wonderful device, it is brilliant, and after ordering my 2nd unit, I have yet to get one with a bad pixel. The screen is... Read more
Just a quick note to say this is a lovely monitor/TV, but if you're planning on hanging it on a wall you can't without an adapter as there are no mounting holes (of any kind) for a standard VESA wall bracket (or any other bracket for that matter). Samsung make a speacial little adapter that replaces the desk stand with a mount that has a VESA100x100 plate on the back. It's called a TWMB-2400 and you can pick one up on-line for around £25. Hope this helps someone... Read more
My primary need was a computer monitor, but I also wanted a screen that I could input an HDMI cable from my PS3 for hi-def gaming while sitting at my computer desk. I found that I had to go with a TV (rather than a computer monitor) to get both types of inputs. Initially, I tried a 26" Insignia 720p TV, which I bought from Best Buy. Although it was a very good TV, I was not satisfied with the resolution when used to view digital family pictures on my computer. The... Read more
