The LG M228WA hails from the LG Flatron L6W Wide Format and Monitor Series and it is designed for Windows Vista compatibility. It is also compatible with Windows Aero user interface as well as Windows Flip 3D which allows you to switch easily between task windows, both of which are available with Windows VistaVista Home Premium and Windows Vista Ultimate only. The LG M228WA has a slim and light design, with unique air flow system of the Aero Grille.
The LG M228WA is a multifunctional monitor which can be used to access AV/TV devices such as DVD player, VCR, video games console, camcorder and much more. It has an auto detect and auto switching for Dual monitor, thus making additional dual interface unnecessary as well as automatically sets to extend mode. It also has a USB input interface for multi-screen, with USB signal input (triple interface: USB, DVI-D and D-Sub), ability for view expansion with up to maximum of 6 USB Hub, and no need for additional graphic card. The resolution mode can be switched with a touch of the ez Zooming button. It has a contrast ratio of 3000:1, and has the ability to display “Perfect Black” via automatic control. Besides that, it also has a quick response time of 2ms (GTG) for better gaming experience as well as features HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) which has the ability to deliver graphic and multimedia images and sounds without data loss. The LG M228WA has a 22 inch display and a TN panel type. It has an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a resolution of 1680 x 1050. Other than that, it also has a brightness of 300 nits and a viewing angle of 170/170. In addition to that, the LG M228WA has a colour depth of 16.7 million colours.

Well, its HD, no built in DVD Wide screen, made by LG 22" Model M228WA By the way, if your using this with freeview, I recommend you get a HD upscaling box for about £45, I'm going to invest in one soon, to make some use of the HD capabilities.
