The USRobotics 56K* V.92 Message Modem USR5668D is a 56K message modem that complies with ITU V.92/V.90 standard up to 56 kbps downloads and fax capabilities of up to 7200 bps. The modem supports all major operating systems liek DOS, Windows 3.1/95/98/ME/NT4.0/2000/XP/Vista, Unix, Linux and any operating system that supports an RS-232 serial port. It also requires 56K compatible local analog phone line. The modem comes with a power supply unit, phone cord, phone line splitter, serial cable, quick installation guide and installation CD-ROM. It measures 4.3 x 7.1 x 1.7 inch and weighs 0.61 lbs.

Features

The USRobotics 56K* V.92 Message Modem USR5668D features enhanced integrated fax capabilities that allows users to receive and store faxes on the modem, omitting the need for the computer to be turned on. It can also retrieve faxes remotely through dial-up connection. The modem also features independent voice messaging, and can store up to 20 minutes of messages or approximately 50 fax pages. Voice messages can also be remotely retrieved through a dial-up connection. Other features of the modem are management tools like Internet Call Notification (ICN) which lets users screen incoming calls so that only important ones can be taken (Call Waiting and Caller ID require service from local phone company), Modem on Hold that allows users to take calls while online without dropping Internet connection, software upgradeable, Send and receive faxes from any windows application, and customizeable upload and download speeds.
