The Billion BiPAC 7300 is a (802.11g) ADSL2+ Firewall Router with EZSO and QoS. It is compliant with ADSL standards (G.dmt ITU G.992.1/G.lite ITU G.992.2/G.hs ITU G.994.1/ADSL over ISDN/U-R2)/ADSL2 standards (G.dmt.bis ITU G992.5/ADSL2+ Annex M ITU G992.5 Annex M (available for BiPAC 7300 (G) A model only). It utilises NAT, static routing and RIP-1/2 network protocols and is universal plug and play compliant with dynamic domain name system (DDNS), has virtual server and DMZ, SNTP, DNS elay and IGMP proxy. It also has built-in NAT firewall, stategul Packet inspection (SPI), prevents DoS attacks including IP spoofing, land attack, smurf attack, Ping of Death, and TCP SYN flooding. This modem also has packet filtering (port, source IP address, destination IP address, MAC address), URL content filtering, password protection for system management and VPN pass-through. It is compliant with IEEE 802.11g and 802.11b standards with 2.4 GHz - 2.484 G Hz frequency range, up to 54 Mbps wireless operation rate, 64-128 bits WEP supported for encryption, wireless security with WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK support and WDS repeater function support. The modem has WLAN (fixed antenna), Line ADSL port, LAN 4 port 10/100M auto-crossover (MDI/MDI-X) switch, factory default reset button, power jack, and power switch. It measures 132 x 94 x 35 mm (5.2 x 3.7 x 1.38 inch) and requires a 12V DC 1A power input to operate.

The Billion BiPAC 7300 is an all-in-one compact package of ADSL2+ router designed for home and SOHO users for mobility and faster speed when using ADSL Internet connection. The device allows access to high-speed ADSL Internet connection, and supports Easy Sign-On (EZSO) technology enabling users to establish an ADSL connection via standard web browser like IE. The Quality of Service feature gives net connection for inbound and outbound data with minimum traffic congestion. Rich Firewall security features such as SPI, DoS attack prevention, and URL Content Filtering are integrated to provide users protection from hackers’ attack. The modem complies with ADSL worldwide standards and supports downstream rate up to 12/24 Mbps with ADSL2/2+, 8Mbps with ADSL and upstream rate up to 1 Mbps. With this technology, users has access to high-speed ADSL services and broadband multimedia applications such as interactive gaming, video streaming and real-time audio. The Quality of Service (QoS) feature gives users full control over the outgoing data traffic. Priority can be given by the router to ensure important data like gaming packets, customer information, or management information move through the router even under heavy load. Users can also control the speed at different type of outgoing data passed through the router to ensure that users do not saturate the bandwidth and browsing activities. The Easy Sign-On (EZSO) technology allows users to establish an ADSL connection via standard web browser like IE. The router can automatically detect the PPPoE/PPPoA or DHCP protocol for ADSL connection. Other features are Firewall Security via built-in NAT natural firewall feature, as well as advanced hacker pattern-filtering protection. It can automatically detect and block Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. Built with Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), the router enables users to determine whether or not a data packet is allowed to pass through the firewall to the private LAN; integrated 802.11g Wireless Access Point in the router that offers a quick access and mobility to the users among wired network, wireless network, broadband connection (ADSL); 54 Mbps 802.11g data rate; backward compatible with existing 802.11b equipments and Wireless Protected Access (WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK) and Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) features that enhance the security level of data protection and access control via Wireless LAN. The built-in Wireless Distribution System (WDS) repeater function allows users to expand the wireless network without using wires at all.

    A 'me too' ADSL router box with a fairly standard feature set but at a good price. The Billion BiPAC 7300G's ability to get a fast ADSL connection from so-so telephone cabling is a distinct bonus. Read more

    An older router missing a couple of key features, but worth considering for a small office equipped with older and slower Wi-Fi and Ethernet equipment. Read more

    Impressive product. I'd probably recommend for more advanced users as the extensively featured firewall and QoS facilities would be lost on basic users. Basic users would do better to grab a Netgear for similar money and get the same basic functionality and perhaps greater ease of use... Read more
