Review Summary

The Sony Ericsson K800i is a great mobile phone for anyone who is looking for a fun design. The size and weight of the Sony Ericsson K800i is very small, which makes it an ideal mobile phone for any pocket or purse. The Ericsson K800i also has a very good camera to offer its users, which is good because many mobile phones have cameras of poor quality. With 3.2 megapixels, this camera takes very good indoor photos. If you want to take a lot of pictures in a row without any delay, this camera will allow you to do just that. This reason enough to choose the Sony Ericsson K800i as your mobile phone, which cannot be emphasized enough. It is definitely a great camera phone choice. Another one of the cool features that the Sony Ericsson K800i has to offer is that it gives you the opportunity to photo blog straight from the handset. One of the main problems which you may have is that the Sony Ericsson K800i the amount of battery life that you get from it. However, this is probably only the case if you use video calling, Bluetooth, music or the camera a lot. The other features which the rest of the Sony Ericsson K800i has to offer are also not bad either, which makes this mobile phone even more appealing.

Overall, if you are looking for a Sony Ericsson phone that takes very great quality photos, then the Sony Ericsson K800i is an excellent choice for you. Even though you may found the battery life to be not that long, if your main purpose for using your mobile phone is to actually talk, you should not have too much of a problem in this area. It is safe to say that this is a camera which you should consider checking out.

A picture paints a thousand words - So why not make it the best picture every time, with auto focus, built-in Xenon flash, image and video stabiliser function and BestPic™?

This model also takes a memory card (MemoryStick Micro), which you'd think would make the whole process a lot simpler. However, no card is actually supplied as standard. If you want the best image quality from your mobile then the K800i is the way to go. Read more

There's a lot to like in the K800i, and I'd not feel I was taking too much of a risk proclaiming it the best 3G handset on the market at the present time. If it has a weakness it's that its frame is a little statuesque and its keypad is a little cramped, both of which could only really be overcome by switching to a clam-shell or slider format. Sony Ericsson has created a camera phone that uses Sony's CyberShot branding perfectly, creating great pictures and then backing up those great pictures with features such as 3G connectivity and good solid design. It might be a tad bulky (105 x 47 x 22mm) compared to other regular phones available, however for us we would be happy to have this as our main phone. We would even go as far to say that if we ran Pocket-lint via the Blogger software and our texting skills w... Read more

In this quickly changing area I've found Sony Ericsson have been able to keep some old style things in their menu's and still make them accessible to new users. They have developed a nice fusion of many other menu styles - I'm not saying they are innovative or original, just easy to use. For an all-round phone this one is almost unbeatable! Read more

I own a K800i on contract with Three mobile. I get 450 minutes and 150 texts for a tenner a month. I'm told this is a good deal as I've been with Three for a few years. I pay a fiver for an extra hundred texts, and although I don't use the full extra hundred its less than it costs paying for the ones I've gone over by. I find the service from Three to be very good now, and all of the early problems that gave them a bad name seem to have been ironed out, certainly in m... Read more
