Summary: I bought this as a spare phone for my son and myself. He seems quite happy with it, I set it all up so it is easy to do as I'm not that good with smartphones. I did use express delivery as we needed it asap, took 4 days and the item I ordered at the same time, non express, arrived before it, so I would not bother with express again.
Summary: Bought this as a first smartphone so I could connect to wifi etc. However I make a lot of calls and because it's a touch screen when you put it against your ear it puts the person you are speaking to on hold really frustrating. Also it's really easy to put the wrong number in when dialling because the keypad is small and numbers close together. All in all takes too long to make calls and have conversations so I've sent it back and replaced with a basic phone.
Summary: This is my 1st Android phone and I'm happy to say I've managed to work out how to use it. I'm not 'young' ;-] but this has turned out to be the perfect phone for me. The screen is not too sensitive, but the keypad when texting, is a bit on the small side and if you've got 'fat fingers' it can be frustrating when you catch the wrong letter, [but this could be said for a lot of touch screen phones]. It looks really smart and expensive, but it definately wasn't expensive.
Summary: This Phone does exactly what it says on the box and lots more. When I first played around with it, it felt so smooth: you can glide graciously though menus and contacts like nothing! Its cheap but its amazing.
Summary: I bought this for my son as an upgrade to his old phone. It is quite small for a smart phone but as an entrance into the world of apps and using the web on a mobile it has all you can ask. It doesn't feel too light and seems to have a sturdy build. You need to be quite light with the touchscreen and can take a few seconds for it to respond. Overall for the price a good little phone.
Summary: I bought this phone as a way of easing myself into the touch screen mobile phone world. For certain things, such as taking pictures (the night mode and candle light settings have proven very useful) and writing notes to myself, it's brilliant. Unfortunately, the positives far outweigh the negatives. My main complaints with the Galaxy Y are as follows: 1. There doesn't seem to be a way of deleting old or obsolete wi-fi networks. 2.
Pros: Excellent camera.
Cons: It's extremely difficult to customise and change settings.
